We stopped here on our way to Calais. We were amazed at what a beautiful spot it was. The domain owns a large mill, 3 houses and a chateau. We had a bedroom in the large house across the road from the mill. It was a beautiful evening and we walked up the hill to the chateau and around the... More

The Moulin Villeray Condeau lies sweetly in the relatively untouched agricultural region of Le Perche in France’s L’Orne Department – roughly a hundred miles from Paris. The nearest city is Chartre, which we visited many years ago mainly to see the wonderful Gothic cathedral. As the name implies the Moulin was once a (flour) mill, and a big one at... More

Such a romantic, lovely spot in Perche. The owner Muriel was such a pleasure and so delightful. The rooms are creative and charming -- upholstered walls, carved wood sinks, mixture of modern & antique furnishings -- but the dining room is easily the most outstanding room in the building. Enormous stone fireplace and all the original fixtures from the working... More

From the internet site and photos on a brochure, I doubted my stay would meet my standards. But my boyfriend already booked the "chambre superieur" at Villeray because it was one of the few chateaus in the area that was open in February. It was romantic. The home-made jams, upholstered walls in our room, the morning view of the manicured... More

Lovely location, good for peace, quiet, country rides or walks. Hotel OK, if a bit shabby in public areas, food good, though not cheap, staff pleasant - our complaint was that the wine list was ridiculously expensive - the mark up on UK prices was unjustifiable. It's a fair drive away from any other local restaurants, so they seem to... More

I know it is an old comment but I would like to precise that we do not try to trap anybody, the first wine bottle price is 28€, a glass of wine is 5€. For the ones being too expensive, I would answer that we try to provide our customers with top winemakers and wines they would not find to... More

We arrived tired, and were greeted as old friends from the moment we crossed the threshhold. The owners could not have been more helpful, and service in all respects was excellent. All the rooms that our party had were superb, and one particularly was exceptional (but we wont say which one!!). The food was to a high standard. We will... More

We loved the Moulin. I wasn't sure if it was going to be what we wanted as their web site is rather too arty to be properly informative and they would do well to improve the photos and information available on the site. We arrived after spending a night on the ferry sitting in reclining chairs so were very tired.... More

very nice hotel. Rooms in the "Moulin" or in the castle 5 minutes up the lovely street climbing up to the "Chateau de Villeray". The restaurant deserves a lunch, a sperb wine list! Not the less expensive!!! but a nice moment More
