We had cabin 19, twin & full size bed/one room. Fridge (no freezer), microwave, hot plate, toaster and coffee maker; basic dishes and pots provided. Nice hot water for a shower, bathtub drain didn't work (the website accurately indicated shower only). The pillows were flat, the blankets were worn and mismatched; nothing major, though I wish I had brought our... More

This is the second year in a row my boyfriend and I book a room at Cobble Mountain Lodge. Last year, we were satisfied with what we paid for. 70$ for one night for cabin #10 (one king size bed). We arrived late, and left early for a week-end of backpacking. Everything went well. But this year, we came back... More

This was a perfect place for a vacationing family. Having a kitchenette made things very easy, and the customer service was great. There were several outdoor BBQs to use, and there was even wood for a campfire set up every day for us to light in the evening. The cabin was clean, the WiFi worked, and it's located very near... Imagine borrowing your bachelor brother-in-law's hand-built cabin. The decor is handbuilt with an Adirondack flair, and the kitchen equipment is yardsale eclectic. Blinds were decorated by curtains in animal prints with fused seams. The couch was upholstered in a similar fabric, using a staple gun. (I don't want to know what it looked like underneath.) The cleaning was spotty. Floors... More

We rented cabin 16 which has two floors. The cabin is very clean and fully stocked. The beds, bathrooms, and dishes are on the rustic side, but everything was comfortable. It was a perfect place for us to start our mountain vacation. More

This was such a great place. Far enough out of town to feel like it was out in the mountains, but still close to town (5 min drive). We got upgraded to one of the premium cabins and it was a great cabin. Clean, spacious, outfitted with everything you need, fun decorations to feel like you are in a cabin.... More

We stayed at the Cobble Mountain Lodge in November 2010. We have two dogs, so finding accommodations is usually a challenge, but the owner was very pet friendly and didn't even charge us a pet fee. We stayed in cabin #10; it was very clean and comfortable. I would absolutely stay here again. More

The cabins at Cobble Mountain Lodge were perfect for our vacation with our son, daughter-in-law and 2 grandkids, ages 6 and 8. Ours just had a microwave, toaster and coffee pot but theirs had a fully outfitted kitchen so anything we needed we swapped with them. The cabins were #10 and #11. I was surprised how close to town it... More

I decided to visit Lake Placid only three months ago. The hotels that I originally wanted were all booked up. This is when I stumbled across Cobble Mountain Lodge's website, where I then booked a room for three days. I arrived in Lake Placid early in the morning and just was driving through the center of town. About a minute... More

We have been staying here every June for years now as we hike with 20 or so friends and Cobble Mountain is or WAS or place. We knew the owner Gar and liked his handyman Scott. The place felt like home to all of us. Then in 2009 we were greeted by the new "manager" Frank. This guy wouldn't return... More
