We arrived late, tired, and ready to shower and go to bed. The room had no soap, and the front desk said they were too busy to have any delivered - housekeeping had run out. The sheets were smelly and the staff was rude. I've been communicating by emails with tje corporation for two months now, and they have offered... more

Gentleman in the name of Fred V. (working on the night from 31/12/09 to 01/01/10 was extremely rude and arrogant at the time of check in. He had no basic knowledge of the check in standards as well as no "can do attitude". Service he provided was on the level of McDonalds or even lower. No newspaper was offered, no... more

Stayed in this hotel one night only, waiting for a flight next morning. Clean and warm room and fairly OK staff, left in the morning without breakfast since it is served too late (did they forget they are at the airport and people need to leave early?) more

Don't get fooled by the name or the fact that it belongs to Hilton chain, it is old and run-down hotel. I often travel on business and primarily stay in Hilton hotels - this is certainly one of the worst hotels I stayed in. The food (I had dinner and breakfast there) was inedible and the choice was worse than... more

My friend and I were sent to this hotel by Delta Airlines after we volunteered to come off an overbooked flight. We took the free shuttle bus from Federal Circle to the hotel, and checked in. Staff were extremely pleasant and helpful, even providing us with toothbrushes, paste and deodorants (our luggage was already en route to London!). There was... more

This hotel was supposed to be for 1st class passengers only but all other hotels had been sold out so they let us stay there. We thought it must be good if it's usually only for 1st class. We were wrong. The carpet had stains on it- the shower had black marks all over the floor- and the TV had... more

The DoubleTree JFK is a very comfortable and clean airport hotel. Nothing special in terms of entertainment, but a restaurant and bar with your normal (high) airport hotel prices. Very comfortable beds. Lots of airline staffers stay here. Decent conference services including one large ballroom and four small meeting rooms. Free wireless in the whole hotel if you have your... more

We have had the good fortune this year to stay in several hotels that we return to. This is one of them. I enjoy the cookies upon check-in, and even though they may appear stand-off-ish at first, the staff is really friendly. I just have to remember - it's New York City. The area around JFK airport isn't exactly luxurious,... more

Has the quality of Hilton affiliated hotels gone done like Paris Hilton's popularity? My flight back to Boston was cancelled one night, so the staff at the airport representing American Airlines gave us a voucher for one free night at the Doubletree Hotel at JFK aiport. My family was not going to stay in the airport overnight like we thought... more
