Since this was a working trip for my boyfriend & my first time in Hudson , I found the St Charles to be a very nice place. Clerk was very helpful. The room was very clean & the shower worked great. We will make it a point to stay there again if we are in the area. They are doing... More

We had a wedding in Hudson over the weekend and we stayed in this hotel. When we pulled up to the front of the hotel it was a little scary but once we got inside it was so much better. We used 3 rooms and overall our stay was nice. The rooms are clean & spacious, the towels were a... More

Since I was staying only one night, alone and on business, I rationalized not selecting a B&B (always first choice, however pricy at times). Still, I could not like this hotel -- even under the circumstances. Frankly, the hotel’s best asset is being one block away from fashionable Warren Street. In the home stretch to the hotel, my Mapquest directions... More

I only needed a room for one night and the price was right. The lobby and hallways are outdated and a little shabby, but the rooms have been redecorated...much more chic and modern than the official website depicts. My room was clean and comfortable. Breakfast was a basic continental so mostly carbs and a bit of fresh fruit. Staff was... More

Because those who thought this hotel was modern and up to date stayed somewhere I did not. The towels were beige. The tub was dirty and had caulking in it. The sink area (which was outside of the bathroom area) was dusty. The hallways were dark with old carpet. If the hotel were clean and well-lit, maybe I could stomach... More

We decided to make a one day trek via Amtrak into Manhattan during our New England trip. Hudson worked well for us as it is only two hours to Penn Station each way. I couldn't find the usual chain hotels in Hudson and decided against a B&B due to late arrival/early departure. So we went for something different and made... More

My wife and I stayed here for a wedding this past weekend and no real expectations since the bride and groom chose the place. We were really pleasantly surprised with everything! The staff was very nice, rooms, though not the Waldorf, looked recently upgraded, and the free continental breakfast was a nice surprise. The staff also let us hang out... More

My room in this historic hotel was very clean, with all amenities in place. They even use a washable remote! It's covered with a plastic coating so it can be disinfected between users. The breakfast was not exciting--but adequate. This hotel is perfectly situated at the top of Warren Street which features 19 art galleries, numerous antique stores, and all... More

Very Clean room, modern decor - nothing like picture shown, ample parking, within walking distance of all Restaurants, galleries and shops in Hudson. Strong air conditioner, I recommend if in the area for biking, skiing or escape from the city. Will definitely book again at the St. Charles Hotel on my next visit to the Hudson valley area.
