Paul does a wonderful job at his B&B and it shows. We got there early and he showed us all the rooms, they are clean, clean, clean and beautifully decorated.Breakfast was excellent with a wide assortment of homemade bakings.A very short walk to Warren St brings you to the best restaurants. And plenty of off street parking at the B&B as well. Will be back. The Country Squire is a beautiful place to stay in Hudson, NY. It's walking distance (2 blocks) from the main street in Hudson, so we did not need our car the entire time we visited. The rooms are tastefully decorated and pleasing. I loved the claw-foot tub! Paul, the owner, was friendly and hospitable, makes a delicious breakfast and enjoys... More

Paul your host is very friendly and hospitable. He is the perfect Bed and Breakfast host. He is very happy with life in Hudson and will share good tips to enhance your enjoyment of this wonderful town. The actual house is attractive on the inside with nice details like pretty tiled fireplaces. The room was a good size with an... More

During the intense heat of late July 2011 we sought refuge in the Catskills and found a refreshing welcome at The Country Squire. A pale green room furnished with charming antiques, and private bath, cooled by AC and drawn shades, served as our oasis for the weekend. Paul's breakfasts are the secret of Hudson! The freshest local foods and homemade... More

My husband and I stayed for a fall weekend evening and the Country Squire is exactly what the best B & B's should be. The room was clean, simple, warm and charming. Like the rest of the house, it has all the modern amenities but still feels "homey" and comfortable. The living area has great prints and a bookshelf of... More

My wife and I thoroughly enjoyed our recent stay at the Country Squire. We appreciated the short walk from the train station, and we were warmly greeted by Paul as we approached. Our room, the rear queen with outside deck, featured a very comfortable bed, was bright with afternoon sun, and provided us with a cozy base for our exploration... More

My boyfriend and I had never been to the Hudson River Valley and actually chose to stay in the city of Hudson because of the Country Squire. The location, reviews and price were all right. And we are glad we did! The house was spotless, our room was comfy and cozy (but not small!) and our bathroom with the claw-foot... More

I walked here from the train station, which took about 7 minutes, and walked everywhere else I wanted to be in 10 minutes or less. More importantly, this is a very, very cute, cozy place with a wonderful breakfast! Even more importantly, Paul, the owner, is warm, personable, and very, very helpful--offering very reliable restaurant recommendations, a print-out of things... More

This was our first time staying at the Country Squire, and we thought it was great. The house is perfectly located; it is easy to access the main road in or out of town, and only a short walk to any of the restaurants, shops, or other commercial areas of Hudson. Our room was cozy but certainly not cramped, everything... More

This was our first stay at this B&B in Hudson, NY, but I assure you that it will not be our last. From our first contact with Paul, the Innkeeper, to our warm good-bye, everything was perfect. This home is spotless, spacious, nicely decorated, and quiet. The mattress is probably the most comfortable we have slept on. After a great... More
