First time in Hudson and couldn't have asked for better hosts than Roy and Mike (Shelby and Otis too!) The B&B was only a 5 min walk from the Amtrak station and anchors one end of Warren St. It's a quiet side of town and just a few minutes walk to all the shops and gallery Hudson is known for.... My husband and I stayed at HMH as a surprise for his birthday this past weekend. The house is so comfortable and welcoming, you can't help but find yourself in a happy mood not long after walking through the front door. The owners are very friendly, and were quickly able to get us set up in the "Nantucket" room. You... More

Thanks Roy and Mike (and Shelby and Otis) for a wonderful stay. The house decor was beautiful, breakfast was scrumptious, and your hospitality was top notch!

A stay at the Hudson Merchant House is, by itself, a wonderful and memorable experience. Located within walking distance of everything that makes Hudson, NY, a destination, HMH offers a comfort as inviting as a Grandmother's hug. Its nostalgic theme throughout the house, while integrating modern times via contemporary bathrooms and touch pads controlling music to each bedroom, blend a... More

Was in town for a busy family event and the Hudson Merchant House was just a great place to look forward to at the end of a long day. The home that Mike and Roy have created is beautiful and the Nantucket Room, where we stayed was very clean, comfortable and inviting. Our hosts were very accomodating to our schedule... More

As we planed a drive from NYC to Chicago, we found this place by chance via internet and fell in love with the extraordinary interiordesign shown on the photographs. We weren't disappointed and spent a terrific night in Hudson Merchant House. The sunset over hudson river is uniquely beautiful and the town finds itself in an interesting transition process. As... We were surprised how much we liked this little town on the Hudson. It reminds me of Georgetown, Washington DC from 20 years ago. Lots of nice antique stores, galleries, and places to eat. Its what I would call an up and coming location. The B&B was great and food excellent. You have to like dogs though (we do) since... More

The 1st visit was a getaway in Oct. w/my husband. We were thrilled. As others have noted, the period home is beautifully & thoughtfully appointed, & Mike's cooking is delectable. Shelby the dog is an absolute peach. Stunning home & delish nosh aside, Roy & Mike are the heart of HMH, & it's their presence that transforms the experience into... More
