We stayed in Kiambi lodge in September '11. The camp is situated just on the Zambezi river bank with hippos and elephants in view nearly all day. Ths is not a safari despite what they call it! It was pricey and what we got for it is (1) no hot water in the room, (2) poor meals, and (3) discourteous service from the general manager, Janene. This is at a beautiful location on the Zambezi River but don't waste your money to stay here!!!

Excellent place, beautiful surroundings, nice "cuisine", friendly people all over the place. I felt at home. The canoeing/camping is a must.

The Kiambi Safari Lodge was well worth the journey over unpaved road near the Zambian border with Zimabwe near Chirundu.
