Stunning location, quality accommodation and delicious food but most of all an incredible team who made our stay so special. The General Managers Yvonne and Mwaka are exceptional hosts, the guides have a remarkable breadth of knowledge and wonderful capacity to capture your interest, and nothing was too much trouble for the housekeepers, kitchen, restaurant and bar staff. Who'd have... More

We stayed at Kasaka River Lodge in the first week of April, the very start of the season, for 5 nights. From the moment we arrived until the moment we left we couldn't have had a more perfect adventure and amazing experience. We stayed in the Hippo Pod and the privacy and service was exceptional. The new pool was a... More

A great thank you to Caroline, the Chongwe/Kasaka reservations manager for keeping our temporary reservation much longer than planned and being so helfull when it became clear that we had picked with Nyassa air, the wrong travel agent for our trip. I am very impressed with the help and responsiveness of Caroline (the same applies also to Jess at Flatdogs,... More

We stayed at Kasaka River Lodge 3 nights after spending 7 in South Luangwa park. Kasaka is a medium sized camp with very nice “tents” that are nicer than most hotels we have seen. We stayed on the wild side, with lots of Baboons in the area as we walked down the raised walkways. The staff and food were excellent,... More

Of all our stays in Africa, we rated Kasaka River Lodge our best experience. Our room was nice, without being exceptional, but there was nothing negative we could say about the room. We were in the most upstream tent, which was situated closest to the river. It had an external spa. Elephants and hippos often came into the grounds of... More

We stayed for 4 nights, 3 nights on a discounted rate and 1 night on the full-package rate. It was very quiet in the camp and we had booked the Kigelia hut on the tame-side (as the wild side was fully booked at the time of our reservation). The people in charge said that they had no idea that we... More

Thank you for providing your feedback regarding your stay with us in 2010. It is always good to get such honest feedback about a guest’s experience. In response to some of the points - Allocation of Tents Kasaka River lodge was taken over by Chongwe Safaris last year. With the new ownership came a new reservation system and unfortunately the... We just loved Kasaka - accomodation was excellent, staff very friendly and helpful, lovely pool area, food excellent and good choice of activities all well organised. Guides were excellent but special thanks to Mike who was not only extremely knowledgeable but really went out of his way to make sure we saw everything we wanted.

We stayed here as a little splurge at the end of our Zambia trip and it was a wonderful experience. Our tented accomodations were very comfortable- the bed has several pillows, electric lamps on each bedside, HUGE bathroom and best shower of the trip, and included the hotel type amenities such as plush towels and toiletries, and you also have... We stayed at Kasaka as part of our honeymoon (organised by Aardvark) and have nothing but great memories. The lodge is split between a 'tame' side and a 'wild' side, the difference being the tame tents are located around a central grassy area but this in no way makes it any less wild! In fact a visit from the local... More
