We stayed at Wildlife camp just before the season started, so we had the place to ourselves and enjoyed the solitude. The safaris were excellent and our guide was knowledgeable. The management team running the place were great to talk to to get a feel of the place, the people and the bush itself. The food was spectacular and we... More

We stayed in one of the barefoot safari tents for a couple of days and enjoyed our time there a lot. The Wildlife Camp is beautifully located on a peninsula, rather far from all other camps. The nature there is much wilder than eg. in Crocvalley or Jollyboys which makes it special. The barefoot camp is located on a hill,... More

We did a 6 week trip to the Serengeti and back (From South Africa) and stayed over at Wildlife Camp to explore South Luangwa National Park and the surroundings. We got to explore the park, and had an unbelievable experience with the elephants walking through Mfuwe Lodge. Well, as for the surroundings, we did not get anywhere as Wildlife Camp... More

Hi Anton! Thanks for reviewing Wildlife Camp! It is strange that you mention the lions in camp, as last night we found them hunting impala behind the office! That was in the early evening and they failed. However, later we heard bones crunching only about 100m's away from the restaurant, and sure enough, there they were feasting. We quickly gathered... The five nights and days I had here were excellent. Every day from 6 to 10 and again from 16 to 20 we had very wonderful drives. I was the wet season so walking was not an option. The guides knowledge about everything was remarkable. All the staff was very friendly. Many excellent animal sightings actually took place in the... More

We intended to camp at Flatdogs, but fortunately the campsite there was closed. We decided to have a look at The Wildlife Camp. Loved it from the first. Conrad told us to pitch out tents where we liked. he even arranged for a nice plate of sandwiches to be bought down to the campsite, even though the kitchen was closed.... More

My wife and I thoroughly enjoyed a four-night stay at Wildlife Camp. We had previously stayed at a similarly advertised camp about a mile away and found Wildlife Camp to be much better and less expensive. The owner (a Swiss lady) and the rest of the mostly Malawian staff were very friendly and accommodating. We stayed in a chalet –... More

Dear Jeannette and Mark. Thanks so much for your remarks! We are looking forward to welcoming you again in our beautiful valley. Unfortunately I'm not the owner of Wildlife Camp - I'm employed as a manager and I really enjoy it. The owner is the Wildlife and Environmental Conservation Society of Zambia and the camp's director is South African born,... More

My visit to Wildlifecamp in South Luangwa was an experience of a lifetime. The guides are extremely knowledgable about the animals and the park. The staff are professional, friendly and makes one feel at home. What made this trip special is that the animals roam into the camp so that you do not only see wildlife in the park, but... More

We live in Lilongwe Malawi and have made the 5-6 hour trip to South Luangwa 4 times in the past year. We have stayed in Wildlife Camp 3 out of 4 times and have loved it every time. Unlike a lot of the other self service campsites in the Mfuwe area--Wildlive Camp situates you right on the river bluff overlooking... More

We spent one week at the Wildlife Camp in October. We emailed before our arrival before we came. Upon arriving all the campsites were filled and we were told to sleep under a shady tree next to the river. That night two hippos began to fight over grass & terrority and one backed into our tent. It was very scary... More

Dear Grossemontagne. Thank you for your review and for pointing out a couple of things that you have noticed during your stay here at Wildlife Camp. There is just one or two points that I'd like to highlight, as it was actually me who you spoke to about your incident and not Wildlife Camp's owner. Wildlife Camp is in a... More

We arrived in Wildlife Camp after a nightmare journey, it was like arriving in heaven! Incredibly genuine, helpful and friendly people, nothing was a problem. Everything was planned perfectly and to fit in with what we wanted to do. The game drives and walking safaris were fascinating with brilliantly knowledgable guides and the biggest variety of wildlife (we saw 4/5... More

Dear Ella and Danny. Thank you very much for your review. We are glad that you enjoyed our little piece of heaven! You are right about the rhino's. Unfortunately they are not around anymore. However, there is a brilliant programme going on in the northern part of the valley to re-introduce these beasts. As far as I know their numbers... More
