I stayed at Kaingo in July 2011 for 4 nights. I wish that I had also spent time in Mwamba. There were elephants in camp during the evening and daytime. The camp is situated in a superb site on the river. Patrick is a superb guide with a remarkable sense of humor. I'll never forget that one night drive thanks... More

Stayed at Kaingo and Mwamba in July 2011 as 50th birhtday gift to self. Couldn't have chosen better. If I had only known how perfect this place was, it would have been my 1st choice for 4 prior safaris- it has topped them all. Chose Shenton because they offered three activities per day rather than the standard two. Who wants... More

We spent a very enjoyable three nights here in October 2011. The setting, overlooking the river, is great and we always love being able to wildlife watch from our room. Shenton say they have a focus on helping photographers get the best from their visit and my husband, who is a keen wildlife photographer, found that they deliver on this... More

We were lucky enough to stay at Kaingo and Mwamba in June 2011. We'd been told that we would love it there but nothing could prepare us for just how fabulous both camps are. The wildlife viewing and guiding is superb - but the camps are made oh so special by the wonderful people there ... Izzy, Ian, Patrick, Kennedy,... More

Kiango and the sister camp Mwambo are the closest thing to perfection for a wildlife artist. With great hides to sit and study the wildlife quietly and great guides to find where all the action is, it was my best safari experience ever and I've been to quite a few safari camps. The day was filled with experiences from dawn... More

What a wonderful camp this is. It consists of 6 thoughtfully placed chalets along the river. The chalets are permanent structures, plenty spacious, are decorated with warm colors and rich textures, quite lovely. The outdoor soaking tub is a divine way to spend sometime in the afternoon if trying to knock the dust off. They also have shaded viewing platforms... More

In choosing a camp for my first safari in Zambia, Kaingo (and its sister camp, Mwamba) quickly became my overwhelming choice for two reasons - the photo hides and the opportunity to have a three opportunities each day to shoot pictures (instead of the two that are standard at most other camps). I came away with quite a few worhtwhile... More

Kaingo camp has, in our opinion, found the perfect balance between remoteness, comfort, setting and serious game viewing, without resorting to the excessive luxury that seems to be the recent vogue. The chalets are simple and very comfortable and the combination of your own private deck and the more extensive main deck offer stunning views over the river, with hippos,... More

We stayed here 4 days in conjunction with 4 days at the Bush camp and I can thoroughly recommend this combination as the camps are quite different but the same great service and wildlife experience. This more permanent camp is in a cooler location overlooking a river and is near a beautiful Ebony forest. Three great hides here. If you... More
