We stayed here as part of our trip to Namibia in September 2011 and loved Mowani - in fact we re-named it MoWOWi, as it was so fab! The setting in amongst the boulders and the magnificent views from our 'tent' was very special and will live in our memory for a very long time. The 'tent' was super, with... More

We spent one night in the Mowani Mountain Camp during our honeymoon. We had a tent where we could enjoy a sundowner. Fantastic with the scenery behind. Tents are very nice, staff is fantastic - they did everything for us, excellent dinner with some singing by the locals - it was simply a superb stay. We still remember the tasty... More

Mowani was a two night stopover on our way to Etosha Park. The drive from Walvis Bay was long and dusty so when we arrived at the camp, the glass of bubbly was just what we needed. What a beautiful setting amongst giant boulders. The bungalows were nicely spaced out so privacy was assured. Ours had a spectacular view of... More

I loved this place so much - I just wished we had stayed longer ! Very private accommodation with fabulous view - very comfy beds , lovely verandah and chilled water and tea/coffee making stuff, hairdryer etc..Only slight drawback was the shower which was the worst shower I came across on my holiday - OK if you want to wash... Mowani Mountain Camp is a very special place place to stay. The lodge is tucked away amongst huge boulders and the luxury tented rooms have amazing views across the Abu-Hual valley. The tents are very, very private and are beautifully appointed. They are cooled by the breeze which blows through the mountains. There is a floor mounted fan should you... More

We really enjoyed our 2-day stay at Mowani Mountain Camp. This was helped by a free upgrade to the honeymoon suite. That did have the unexpected disadvantage, however, that we had several sets of visitors during our stay, wishing to take photos of our view (On one occasion, we even found one couple leaving our lounge when we returned from... For years, Mowani was my favourite lodge in Namibia. The setting is magical and initial stays in one of the suites contributed to a truly impressive experience. The lodge has gone through a number of recent changes in management and an extensive - and necessary - update is planned for the coming year (plans were presented to us by the... More

We were just-in time picked up and dropped off at the airstrip nearby and it is a short drive to the Lodge, which is on a hillside with some distance to the road. Upon arrival a nice welcome and a good introduction to the Lodge and the possibilities. We had a tent on the outer perimeter, very quiet with a... More

After we fell in love head over heels with this lodge on our first trip to Namibia in 2008, we made sure to come back this year even though prices have risen by at least 20% since then. Ok: the scenery and the setup of the camp are still stunning and will turn the stay into a "Wow-Sensation" for every... More

How very sad that your last stay with us didn't live up to your expectations of the first. Our camps take a hard knock out in the African wilderness and maintenance is always an uphill battle, regrettably, sometimes Mother Nature gets the upper hand. We will be undertaking some renovations in February 2012 and I am sure you will love... More

The scenery at Mowani is breathtaking. The boulders, the plane, the distant mountain range, the black eagles flying by… all this from the terrace of our tent. Good service, good food. Great place! More
