The last time we visited I was outraged by the price of coffee (£5.40 for a double espresso ie twice the price of a single!). I'm delighted to say we went back and management have listened to the complaint and revised it so that a double is only a little more than a single. Well done. The meal was pretty... More

6 of us had dinner here on Sunday.. 5 out of 6 of us opted for the roasts.. which at approx £100 per head were great. The service was good as was the food. One of the roasts came minus roast potatoes which was quickly remedied when pointed out. Great views of the river. More

I choose to have a bar meal here on Bank Holiday Monday, a simple Burger and chips over £9.00 The roll was stale and the burger left a lot to be desired. The bar itself has a wonderful view of The Thames and Staines bridge inside it was clean staff were polite but not friendly, and the feree dog biscuits... More

I have visited this hotel several times in 2012 as it has become the preferred venue for fire service retirements. The ale, in fairness, is very good. Before the Budget increases were applied, a pint of Fullers London Pride cost £3:55, which is about average for this area. However, I bought my colleague, who had to drive back to the... More

I live about 100 yards from this pub and I love the atmosphere, the beautiful riverside location and the lovely staff. However, it's a source of constant disappointment that they can not serve up a decent plate of food. Every time my husband and I decide to give it another go we just walk out feeling disappointed with a bitter... More

I stay here regularly as the rooms are pleasantly decorated, the food and bar is good and it's a break from the regular places that show up in every city. The best feature of this hotel is the most important one - the bed. All rooms that I've stayed in have good mattresses, down pillows and duvets - in short... More

Nicely greated and seated we were twice offered the same menu and talked through "the specials" I guess better then not being it offered at all but obviously communication between staff is lacking .we were a party of 6 and 2 of us ordered a medium rate steak which was a pile of a taugh streaky "meat " with no... We enjoyed our stay very much. We had a lovely room with huge bay windows overlooking the Thames (ask for this one, I think it must be the best). Everything was clean and comfortable, the food was quite good. We had one evening meal and it was good 'pub grub'. Staff were all friendly and helpful, we would go back. More

To clarify: unlike apparently most of the other reviews this is not about the restaurant but the hotel. As I have not eaten in the restaurant I will obviously not review it. I had the doubtful pleasure to stay in The Swan for 3 weeks for business reasons and if it were up to my decision I would have changed... More

We had a very pleasant dinner this evening (17th December), marred only by the fact that I was charged £5.10 for a double espresso - that being the price of two single espressos. This is simply not on. I have eaten in pubs, restaurants and hotels around the world and never, ever, been charged double for an extra shot of... More
