Stayed at hotel last week during Ramadan. The hotel is quite basic the rooms just have a bed no tv ,radio or tea and coffee. The food was ok and the pool was good. We stayed here during an overnight stop on an excursion booked to the nearby Sahara. The place was terrible, by far the worst hotel we've ever had the misfortune to stay in. Granted it was my 1st (and only) stay in Douz, but my experience of the Tuareg was perfectly fine. Minutes on foot from the desert, a short ride from downtown Douz, wasn't as pricey as other hotels on the strip, beautiful decor & the pool was excellent. I would recommend the Tuareg to anyone passing through.

We stayed at the Touareg for an overnight stay during our safari. The room, although it had a nice balcony, was tatty and the carpet was threadbare.
