This place felt like a ski lodge a little bit. High ceilings in the room. The room was quite large, too. I liked it quite a bit. On one downside, they said they had free wireless internet, but I couldn't get a signal in our room (which I think was in building 5?). For travelers looking for a stop-off on... more

I told myself last year that I would give this Econo Lodge another try. It's at a central location just off the NY Thruway, and we generally really enjoy staying at that chain. It was again a mistake. First, there is no heat to Building 1 where our room was unless the temp drops below 45. We barely slept the... more

This hotel consists of six different buildings arranged on top of a hill. The view is lovely. The bad part is that the continental breakfast is in the main building and you must walk outside to get to it -- not so good in winter. The room I had was fine. It had all the normal amenities and the price... more

Comparing this hotel for the same price to Hotel 8, Red Roof, La Quinta for instance, this hotel is terrible! Rooms where dirty and unvacuumed. Bathroom was old, stained, toilet ran off and on all night, clock was broken, dirty diaper sitting outside our bedroom window. Should be a $45 a night charge. Considering the only food for breakfast was... more

We stayed at the Farmington NY Econolodge August 2007 on a car trip. I hate to stay anywhere I haven't checked out in advance (usually via TripAdvisor). But that's hard to do when you're passing through and not sure where you'll end the night. So we went by the best price via the hotel discount booklets they give you at... more

The hotel looks great when you first pull up and in the lobby. We had our stay booked by our company. We had to stay for 12 days and on our very first night one of our mattresses were ripped down the side with the foam hanging out, our toilet ran all night and would not shut off, my husband... more

The Hotel is deceiving at first glance as you drive up, the lobby is as nice as you would expect for the price, as it is an Econo Lodge. One lone very young sweet girl seemed to be running the desk, incoming phone lines, and guest calls, she was just overwhelmed. Rooms at first glance appeared to be inhabitable but... more

Liked the facilty - clean, comfortable, good tv stations - I was there on a very windy night, woke up to no heat - my building did not lose power - when I called the desk at 3 AM, they offered to move me and said no charge - I did wait till the next day and then did move... more

This was a grand conference facility years ago. Bankruptcy brought Econo Lodge in 2001. Wandering around the main buildings locked and cracked doors show interiors that once housed elegant events. The grounds are spectacular with "views to die for" as it sits on the top of a mountain surrounded by mowed lawns and attractive landscaping. Our room was adequate. Bed... more
