This was our first stay at a bed and breakfast and we couldn't have been happier. The house is huge (the largest B&B in the state, they said) and full of charm. The owners took us on a tour of the house and pointed out the history of the property. We had a room with a private bath and a... More

I have stayed in a number of very nice Bed and Breakfasts and this is certainly one of the nicest ones that I have had the pleasure of staying in. The rooms were simply charming and very clean. I felt the price was very fair as I had two rooms, a bedroom plus a sitting room, plus my own bathroom.... More

For my family and I, this charming old home met what our family was looking for. A quick walk to Eldridge Park before breakfast at 8AM was a perfect way to start our day. We received more than a hearty breakfast - and the hospitality extended to us was more than a weary traveler could ask for. The Lindenwald Haus... More

Wow! One word sums up our stay here! We were greated with Southern charm and elegance in a charming, Northern setting. We received outstanding hospitality, lavish breakfasts, and we truly escaped completely. The Bed & Breakfast is a short drive to the Corning Glass Museum, Watkins Glen State Park (featuring gorges and walking trails) and Gorgeous Seneca Lake, where we... More

As some other reviewers noted, this is an interesting old inn that looked promising at first. But for the price (around $166 including tax), the amenities were minimal. A hearty breakfast was promised but we were told that we had to be down between 8 and 8:30 am to get served. The inn-keepers were friendly enough in their own way,... More

The other reviewers have mentioned the history and the large number of rooms. I will echo the comments that the rooms are very bare bone - no tv, radio or clock (or cups in the bathroom). Our room had a window AC unit. On the plus side there are a number of kitchens that the guests can use. The one... More

If you equate shabbiness and filth with charm, then this is your place. House itself has a promising history, was built for civil war widows, however, that story is just not worth the stay. I stayed for two nights. I was in the “Clemens” room which was $150 per night. For that amount I got: Filth – lots of cobwebs... More

The Lindenwald Haus is chock full of history and interesting visuals around the entire house. The many photos on the walls paint the picture of the history to the house. Unfortunately, that's all there is. The Lindenwald Haus is a landmark that you can experience in about 45 minutes with no real need to stay there. In the room info... More

Went for a girlfriend's getaway, was the best place ever. Sara and Woody are incredible hosts and very cordial. We had access to a kitchen were we cooked and a living room where we could hang out and gossip. Rooms were comfy and cozy, love the attention to detail! Clean and just delightful!

Well, I was stunned when I rode up to this place to see how huge it is. There must be fifty rooms, mostly unused now. My room was in the new wing, added in the early 1900's. I think it doubles as a rooming house. Originally it was a home for Civil War Confederate widows, reason being there was a... More
