we arrived about 2am, and really couldn't walk out because finding a room at that time is nearly impossible. the bathtub had, yes, pubic hair, residue from lord knows what, and mold. the sink had hair in it as well. both beds had reused sheets, stained with shoe marks and a pillowcase which had what appeared to be dried blood.... more
Good location, easy to find. Breakfast items individually wrapped which we appreciated. Quiet, staff friendly. Rooms okay, nothing special. The first room (handicapped bath) we had the 1 queen bed was not fit to even sit on. Very lumpy & flimsy no way to sleep on that bed. Hubby complained, was told the beds were fairly new, he requested another... more
Skip this hotel. The bed sheets were stained, one of the pillows actually had dried blood on it. The highway side is way too noisy. It just was not clean! more
The first room we were given smelled like ashtrays and cigarette butts. Since there's no elevator and we had heavy luggage, he left me in the room and went down to the front desk to request another room, which was granted with no problems. Just the basics but clean and inexpensive. Skip the free breakfast and splurge on the Dunkin' Donuts next door. Room rather small but only real problem was the smoke smell which hung heavily in the hallway. Our non-smoking room was okay, however. A good choice if you want to stay in the Canastota/Chittenango area. more
We were seeking a motel close to the Turning Stone Casino because the rooms at TURNING STONE RESORT were very, very high priced. ..like $ 139 a night in July. Found this Days Inn online ...and got a room for one night at about 70 bucks which was much cheaper than staying at Turning Stone. This motel is right off... more
I'm familiar with the Oneida/Canastota area, but hadn't been back in several years. Our destination was Turning Stone Casino in Oneida, 8 miles away, but we saved over $50 by booking (and prepaying) online in Canastota. Hidden gem in the finger lakes area. What a great motel. Very clean and a wonderfully courteous staff. I would stay there again when in the area. more
