We had a beautiful stay and were really impressed with the innkeeper. We had scheduled a cooking class at the Culinary Institute in Canandaigua. Our main purpose was to see a concert but even better was this farmer's market cooking class where we were given $20 and picked out some items from the farmer's market that we had never cooked... If you are looking for a warm, cozy, very tastefully decorated B & B look no further. It is furnished beautifully. Cheryl provides a full and most delicious breakfast. Her friendly personality and smiling face adds to the enjoyment of being there. As the name indicates, the inn is very old and rich with history. We will go again! M... More

Highly recommend. My husband and I stayed at the 1795 Acorn Inn during a weekend getaway to celebrate our 10th anniversary. This was our first experience with a bed and breakfast and we were pleasantly surprised. The historic structure had a warm and romantic feel. The Innkeeper was both a highly efficient professional who gave a great deal of attention... More

Loved this place. We spent our 5 year anniversary here and it was the perfect getaway. Cozy, romantic atmosphere with charm and sophistication. Sheryl, the inn keeper, is a delight, and a phenomenal chef, too. Breakfasts were gourmet level, in presentation and taste. I never stayed at a B&B and was reluctant, but this one is top notch. Only complaint... More

Decades of traveling throughout the United States on business and for personal pleasure leaves one with many experiences, both good and bad. My husband's and my visit to the Finger Lakes was made extraordinary by staying at the Acorn Inn. The accomodations were exquisite. The details of the Inn's offerings in the public Gathering Room and the Dining Room were... More

We recently had the opportunity to experience a real wonder of the Finger Lakes Region-the 1795 Acorn Inn. Sheryl, the warm and welcoming hostess, makes everything run so smoothly from daily activities to restaurant choices to the most sumptuous of breakfasts. The Hotchkiss Room left us without want, with it's spaciousness, romantic setting and down-to-earth comfort. We highly recommend to... More

My wife and I just returned from our annual trek to the Finger Lakes. What a great area to escape the daily grind. The 1795 Acorn Inn is a perfect place to unwind after a day of sightseeing and a great start in the morning with a first class, decadent breakfast. I cannot think of one item Sheryl hasn't thought... We started with one night and ended up staying 4 nights. Sheryl is a wonderful hostess. Very warm and friendly and helpful. Felt right at home. The inn itself is beautiful and beautifully decorated with all the comforts of home and more. It is also within reasonable distance to area attractions. We had a very relaxing stay. Loved the privacy... More

We can't say enough about the Acorn Inn and the owner Sheryl. From the moment you arrive you are instantly charmed by the beauty of the gardens, the quaintness of the inn and the warmth of Sheryl. We have stayed in the Barn Suite on two occasions and couldn't have been happier. The beds are so comfortable that we always... More

We stayed here for 2 days during a 4 day excursion through the Finger Lakes. From beginning to end it was a stay beyond our expectations. Sheryl, our innkeeper, went out of her way to make us feel welcome. One night, there was a severe thunderstorm that knocked out the power. Two of the guests were attending a wedding reception,...
