Out of the 4 places I stayed this was the easily the bottom of the list. The facility is tired, the service failed in comparison to any other lodge, and the management poor. There didn't seem to be quite enough food to feed all the guests (definitely first come, first serve). The one saving grace was the walking safari which... More

We spend two nights a the camp, the last one we were the only guests of the camp and we were provided with a private dinner in our suite. The suite was also a surprise, as we were upgraded from the standard tent (probably because we were honeymooners). It was colder than expected, and the camp and the suite are... More

This was our first stop with Gavin Blair Safaris and really liked Camp Okavango. The variety of birds was amazing and the canoe ride through the delta was educatinal. The accomodation and food was top notch and just as good as Moremi and Savuti. Look forward to returning. cheers! Brian More

Camp O was the first stop on our 3 week safari to Botswana/Kenya. We loved this place and was an excellent way to start our trip. The food was excellent and the staff were lovely, they could not have been more helpful. Dont expect to see big game here, but use it as a great way to relax and admire... More

My husband and I have just returned from our trip to Botswana where we spent 2 nights at Camp Okavango. We were met by Johnson who took us by boat back to the camp, making the trip interesting with his information on the local plants and flora, as well as spotting of elephant and many birds. At the camp we... More

Okavango was wonderful! The walking and boat safaris are beautiful and relaxing. It is a nice change of pace from the safari jeeps. The guides are very knowlegable and wonderful. You have to do a makoro ride while you are there...so peaceful! There are also Hippos everywhere it seems. It is so nice to hear them at night from your... More

This was our water-based break between Moremi and Savute, and while it was pleasant and relaxing, the activities and wildlife were quite disappointing. I had looked forward to the mokoro (canoe) ride, as a chance to slip up quietly on wildlife, but all we did was get poled around the pond adjacent to the camp. Being an avid canoeist, I... More

Camp Okavango was a lovely intimate camp with friendly knowledgable staff. The food was good & the set up very relaxing. I would suggest you either start with this camp or finish with it. It is not as much about wild life but a beautiful tranquil way to enjoy nature. We did see some Hippo & buffalo but if you... More

This Camp presents a really unique opportunity to experience the Okavango Delta. The staff is enthusiastic and very knowledgeable about the plants and animals (and birds) in the area. The makoro (canoe) ride is not to be missed. The nature walk was also fascinating. The rooms are tents with ensuite bathrooms. We were there at the end of fall so... More
