We arrived at Lagoon camp which is in the north of Botswana next to the Linyanti to spend three nights. It is in a concession so we had free rein of the area. We were collected from the airstrip by Spencer, our guide and James, our tracker. At the camp we were met by Oscar, the stand in manager, and... More

This lodge was selected because of the excellent wild dog viewing possibilities. And we were lucky enough to see them and even go on a hunt with the pack. The lodge is nice, particularly the large rooms and the little shop. The showers could use a little attention though, since the water took ages to get warm. The staff was... More

Lagoon Camp: The camp is beautiful, the rooms big, very big.. 😊, very clean, and a beautiful view over the water. The food...not always that good, sometimes there was not enough food for the guides......so we share. The staff is very friendly. The guides and trackers are super ! We have been using the Kwando camps in our safaris for the last 15 years and they have never disappointed us. The game viewing is outstanding at all camps. Kwara, Lagoon, Lebala and in the Kalahari Nxai and Tau (migration time - March - is spectacular here - and most folks dont know about it!!) The guides are terrific. We... More

The tents in the camp are amazing. Bigger than most hotel rooms, including tubs, showers, and outdoor showers. The large screen looking out on the lagoon was a great way to pass the afternoons as well as lounging by the pool and sipping drinks from the open bar. The diversity of this camp makes it special. You can see elephants and... More

The camp uses a concession that overlaps the Labal Camp and the Cheetah Brothers are pretty active in this area. Lagoon Camp is run by Botswana nationals, as is Lebala, which is a nice feature. The interactions of the 27 wild dogs in this concession are fascinating and we learned a lot about a mammal that is extinct in many... More

Very nice accommodations and staff. Lots of great game viewing. Wild dogs were kind of a specialty here during my stay. However, there were plenty of other viewings of elephants, hyenas (including lots of puppies), hippos, warthogs, impala, kudu, ostrich, giraffe and cheetah. As you’ve probably already read, the camp was completely remodeled about two years ago. The rooms are... More

Stayed at Kwando Lagoon camp, flew Johannesburg to Maun in Botswana where we flew in a 4-seater plane to the camp and I got to sit next to the pilot! The camp has about 9 tents, and we were lucky to be given tent 1 which is separate from the other 8 and is family accommodation which has 2 separate... More
