First, while our stay was brief, it was truly memorable due to the care & attention we received from Paco (our friendly host) and his staff. The Taos Information Center recommended this B&B which is right in the heart of "old" Taos and across from the Kit Carson house & museum. Paco recommended a restaurant about a block away and... More

We really enjoyed this B&B and would stay there again. It's full of beautifully carved wood furniture, and each room has a theme (Spanish, Indian, etc.). We stayed in the Santiago, which was very nice; however, it has a skylight, which makes the room nice and light during the day, but allows the sun to shine in awfully early in... More

We have stayed here every year since we first discovered it 8 years ago while researching a place to stay with our dog. When I stepped into my room that very first time, my first reaction was that I couldn't believe that anyone would allow dogs in such an incredible place. Because La Dona Luz is not just a place... So glad we chose La Doña Luz for our stay in Taos! We were looking for something pretty specific for this trip: dog friendly, hot tub, walking distance to everything, breakfast included, quiet, and unique. We pretty much found it here! Our dog was welcome as long as she wasn't left alone in the room. The Inn is a half... More

La Dona Luz was a wonderful surprise. This family-owned B&B is intimate and lovingly kept, with art in every nook and cranny; and it is conveniently situated in the heart of Taos. The owner, Paco, was at the ready with endless suggestions for eating, shopping and scavenging for obscure items (some of the best to be found in the curio... More

What an amazing jewel this B&B is. Each room is truly a work of art. They are beautifully appointed and have a joyful spirit and are incredibly clean. The owner is so friendly and helpful. It is located right off the plaza and even though is is quite old it is also very comfortable and modern. I feel like a... More

Wonderful staff, great location close to the major shops, restaurants, and galleries of Taos. A bit hard to find. Fascinating rooms with enormous character. Also, pet friendly! Definitely will stay here again!

A place with wonderful history and modern conveniences, beautiful and cozy rooms, and a superb location just a block from the plaza. We loved snuggling in during a brief spring storm, and gathering around the common room fireplace. Breakfast was a nice continental spread plus waffles.

We have visited Taos many times but never found a place to stay that "called us back." But after staying at La Dona Luz, we have found our "home away from home." The historic 200 year old adobe is a real labor of love for the owner, Paco. The result of his passion and dedication is a charming and welcoming... More
