My husband and I really enjoyed our night's stay at the Historic Taos Inn. We liked our adobe room and the charming coutyards. Very comfortable with large roman shower & fire place. My husband made the arrangements and it turned. We thought the town would be closed down on a Sunday evening, but were surprised by the lively local music... More

This was my sixth trip to Taos; fourth time staying at the Inn. Sadly, the love affair has ended. Guests are no longer allowed to use the in-room adobe fireplaces--formerly one of the most charming aspects of staying there. This time it felt like a cheap, overpriced hotel room. Even the bed linens were second-rate. The Inn has lost a... More

We love this place! Originally several adobe houses from the mid 1800's, it had so much charm and quaintness. Sure it's rustic but what else do you expect in a 160+ year old hotel? One block from the famous square. There's the Adobe bar where locals frequent and jazz or blues music every night in the lobby. Our room was... More

As a reward for finishing a two week tour, I booked us a night the the Historic Taos Inn. It was delightful. The room was charming and well appointed - an iron, a hair dryer, great internet. The decor was festive and home-like. We built a roaring fire in the fireplace. We enjoyed sitting in the courtyard. The staff was... More

Extended my stay an extra day because of the hotel's charm. A mixture of quiet and solitude with outstanding local music in the bar area. The food in the hotel's Doc Martin's' dining room was excellent. This is a must when traveling through or to Taos. The neon sign alone, is a reason to stop and take notice! The hotel... More

I stayed here in October after camping at Chaco Canyon for four days. I got a single room above the bar, which was surprisingly not loud. The room was decent sized, clean, and comfortable. My only complaint was that in October they had no heat on and the "blanket" on the bed was average at best. Plus you are near... More

I arrived late in the evening without a reservation. I was attracted by the really cute neon sign. It looked like a fun place -- and it is! There's music 7 nights a week in the covered courtyard/foyer. Happily, it ends at 9:30 p.m., so it won't interfere with your sleep. The attached restaurant, Doc Martin's, is very good. My... More

Although we didn't end up staying here, everyone we spoke to recommended that we go here for the evening live music. It's a great, funky, hip place to hang out - we saw families, skiiers, couples, young and old. The entertainment of the night was great (seems like the place geared more towards bluegrass) and the drinks were good. A... More

We had another Great stay @ the Historic Taos Inn, last weekend. Julie and each of the friendly, helpful staff, collectively again, helped to make 'our time away'.... so Nice :). This is by-far our Favorite Taos (actually New Mexico) place to stay. In addition, to the wonderful people, we love the ambience, nightly music, & historic surroundings... all cozy,... More
