We arrived with our son and 2 small grandchildren on 7/25/09 and rented two rooms. The front of the motel faces the back of a steak restaurant with three large dumpsters with lots of flies. We stayed here in May 2009. While the room was OK (we had a good night's sleep), it had a smell (probably cleaning solution) and it was missing a phone and an iron; we reported this to the front desk immediately so we wouldn't get charged for the thefts. It was pleasant stay, Mattress they are using is very nice. I slept so good, i didn't want to get up next day morning. Staff is wonderful, I would highly recommended this place. How waffles is good too. more
Friendly owner, I have stayed here several times and they have recently remodeled most of the rooms with new beds, new bathroom fixtures, countertops, and lights. It is an older motel but well maintained and a good value for the price. It is next door to a restaurant and close to the casino. more
It's a Travelodge for goodness sake! I've stayed in Travelodges for over 45 years, and this one offers about the same level of amenities and service as any. This lodge is a bargain, and trust me I'm a tight wad. I've stayed here during two ski trips for the sole purpose of having a clean, comfortable and affordable room. Oh... more

The Ruidoso area is beautiful and the locals are really nice people. We stayed at the Travelodge and the room was great. We had a kingsize bed, in room coffee, fridge and microwave so we could eat out or stay in. Travelodge also included continental breakfast.
