What a great place. We have passed it many times on our driving trips from Kansas City to Santa Fe and finally stayed there on the way home on spring break this year. So clean, everything looked new. Comfy beds, full home cooked breakfast, southwest decor and art for sale in the lobby. Staff is great and helpful. We were... More

This property is in the small town of Clayton. It is a fairly new property built in typical New Mexico Style. The rooms are of a good size with large flat TV. There is a seasonal pool well sheltered and a garden area with seating. There is a fitness room and a hot breakfast. One of the best hotels I... More

We found the newly-renovated Kokopelli Lodge to be a great place to stay. Everything was new and extremely clean. The staff was courteous, friendly, and professional. The complimentary breakfast was the best that we've had in recent years--eggs, sausage, french toast, freshly-baked cinnamon rolls and more. We'll be back.

Having stayed here many times before, I was pleasantly surprised to find new paint and furnishings thru out the motel. It looked brand new. I only stay at Best Western motels because I trust them to be clean and reliable. Keep up the good work. Plus the breakfast was out standing. Thank you.

This hotel had the best mattress and best breakfast I have had in a hotel of this type. I tend to look for affordable hotels with breakfast included, and I'm content with the continental style they usually offer. This was a full, hot breakfast with an unexpectedly robust range of items, and the hostess even offered to cook eggs of... More

This trip I stayed in a king suite, not drastically different than a normal king room. It did have a recliner and side table, bathtub with jets (I would never use a hotel/motel jacuzzi but that is a personal choice). They do serve a breakfast that in the past has been okay, I left before they served breakfast this trip.... More

The room was OK but very cramped. The bed was comfy but not worth $120. The free breakfast had a bit more protein than some hotel free breakfasts but the scrambled eggs were in congealed lumps and the sausage patties were stone cold so they were not at all appetizing! Our impression was that the hotel had too grand an... More

Even though we weren't in a snowstorm, the Best Western Kokopelli Lodge was an oasis for sure after that long stretch of road from Santa Fe. It's obvious that the owners have put a lot of effort into keeping an old motel going strong but it's still an old motel with the little annoyances that go with that such as... More

Snow storm hit. Icy roads. Clayton was the next town. Checked out the tripadvisor reviews and decided to stay here. Clean rooms, fluffy towels, beautifully decorated. We got a handicapped room and while I'm no expert on what a handicapped person would need in a motel room, the bathroom was large enough to easily accommodate a wheelchair. Breakfast was delicious.... More

Best Western Kokopelli Lodge is a perfect 10 in all rating categories. The room was immaculate and very comfortable. The staff was professional and friendly. The quality and variety of the breakfast food was far beyond what is served at hotel chains with scrambled eggs, sausage, bacon, French Toast, and cereal and included homemade green Chilli, cinnamon rolls, and muffins.
