we have been here for 1 night only (luckly) but it was enough. low quality of rooms, service and very unfriendly personell. rooms are old and even if we stayed at the "recommended" renewed wing. there was no warm/hot water, bathroom is really old. food is simply not acceptable. personell are unprofessional and unfriendly. positive feedback: nice view over the... We stayed in the deluxe wing! Very hard beds. Quite cold rooms. Don't think they were dirty...just very tired, worn and old. Maybe a bit like me. You are not going to stay here for a luxury experience....you'll stay here for the views....simply stunning....down to the Dzong, or across to the mountains. It's worth it for the views from your... The hotel has a new part and old part. While the rooms in new part are quite ok, the old part is total mess, try avoid that. The structures of various age are sticked together here, so expect bizerre and confusing stairways. Birdeye view of Trongsa dzong is nice. The management is poor and incompetent, manager unfriendly and arrogant. He... More

One of our favourite hotels in Bhutan. The owner was the former Governor of Trongsa and is very knowledgeable about the area. All room have amazing views out over Trongsa. The rooms are large with balconies to catch the afternoon sun, the restaurant is excellent. There is a path you can walk down to the museum and dzong - you... More

Perched high up on a hill we had the most fabulous views. We had two large bedrooms with two single beds in each. Each bedroom had a verandah with a couple of seats on it. The beds were quite wide and a bit on the hard side but that is very common in this part of the world. The bathroom... More

I completely disagree with the negative reviews posted here. The rooms were clean, AND artistically furnished and had spectacular views of the valley. The bathrooms were clean and had plenty of hot water (which in Bhutan is always a treat), plus modern (no bucket showers here). The hotel had consistent electricity (which is also a treat in Bhutan). The food... More

We were in Trongsa for the Trongsa Tsechu (Festival) on 15 December 2010 and due to lack of vacancy at Yangkil, our tour agency arranged for us to stay in Puenzhi hotel. Our friends got the bigger corner rooms (with 2 sets of windows), Room numbers 532 and 529 and complained of freezing cold draught in the rooms. We got... More

Where to begin??? We did not come to Bhutan for fancy hotels, but a minimal level of cleanliness was typical of the most simple places we stayed -- not here! Icky smelly bathroom with water that varied between freezing & scorching, less-than-clean appearing bed linens (thank goodness for the sleeping bag liner I brought along almost as an afterthought). The... More

Firstly it has got great views.... And thats the end of the story. The rooms were filthy, bathroom was unclean and stinking and the owner is a rude arrogant racist. I would very strongly advice Indians and Chinese not to stay here. The owner hates these two nationals and openly crticizes them and tells that he hates dealing with them.

Please please please do not stay here. The beds are filthy, as are the bathrooms and the kitchen and restaurant are terrible. On arrival, we went straight to our room to have a quick nap, only to discover the beds had not been changed after the previous guests (covered in other peoples hair). The maid insisted on checking the sheets... More
