Located alongside the main highway just west of Trongsa, it offers great views of the town of Trongsa and across the valley to the Trongsa Dzong and Watchtower Museum. The views are available from most of the rooms as well. Between the restaurant building and the rooms are a couple of fish ponds surrounded by flowers and gardens. A dinning... More

Comparitively upscale, very nice, clean rooms with views, balconies and huge bathrooms. There really was a western resort feel (which you may or may not want), with water features. Easy walk to town and the Trongsa Dzong. The best thing about this place is that the requisite banquet had really good food! Do not miss the Ginger Tea after the... More

The situation of this Resort is spectacular. Very comfortable rooms, good bathrooms and helpful staff. Wish we could have stayed longer.

We had read in Lonely Planet that there were six rooms with good views. We asked our guide a couple of days prior to our arrival if we could have one and he duly delivered; well done Dorji! Great views of the Dzong. Resort well spread out with water features making it very attractive. Restaurant was one of the best... More

Our room was very modern, clean and comfortable, and had a lovely view of the valley and the Trongsa Dzong. The hotel itself is well-situated and has an interesting design with a waterfall flowing through its middle. The food here was the best of our trip: Indian influenced and very tasty, with a good selection, and NOT overcooked, unlike most... More

After one night at the Meri Punseum hotel in Punakha, our eastward journey in Bhutan took us to Trongsa and the Yangkhil Resort on March 20, 2012. In the morning after a run-of-the-mill continental breakfast at Meri Punseum, we headed to the Punakha Dzong and can safely say that among all the Dzongs we saw in our 11-day Bhutan trip,... More

This was one of our favourite hotels in Bhutan. It is a beautiful, traditionally Bhutanese style hotel. Our room was very quite lovely, very clean, with a large bathroom, plenty of hot water, comfortable beds and nice little balcony and a spectacular view. Wi fi is available in the lounge area. The food was excellent, some of the best in... More

We stayed here for two nights and felt very comfortable in the hotel. We had a double bedded room that was kept nicely heated by an electric heater. Bathroom was huge, but freezing cold. The showers were some of the best we had in Bhutan. Common areas in hotel were nice. Restaurant was decent. Pictures of hotel from official website... More

We first saw this hotel from a distance across the valley. It didn't look like a place you'd want to stay! But when we finally got there it was just fine. The room are nice and service very good. But the view of the Trongsa Valley and the Dzong are the best part.
