If like me you have just arrived from India then the Lahki is a good place to stop over and gather your wits. We stayed here for a night and by far its the best property in town. The location is also good, though a bit far from the main market. Rooms are expensive but clean and well maintained. Parking space is limited.

I did not plan to spend the night in Phuntsholing, but due to some heavy traffic at the border I had to make a stop over in this small city. The hotel is only about five hundred meters from the indian border. It was of a rather simple standard, a little bit eighties in style, but clean and with a... More

Very nice Hotel....not too far from the main shopping area. Rooms comfortable and roomy. Service is good ...but can be better. Staff very helpful and the food is good.

Well,I have just reread the review that Silverswimmer has commented on this hotel. Yes, I was in the same tourgroup as he & his wife, and yes,it was an unexpected hotel stay due to a very big mixup with Saga with regards to out flight out of Bhutan back to Kolkata,But it was a very clean hotel, the service I had... A clean and comfortable hotel. Everything worked OK, especially the air conditioner. Rooms were rather bland with bare marble floors. The towels were hard and thin.

We never had any intention of visiting this border town , never mind this hotel but due to a monumental error by our travel agent in not booking our Druk Air flight from Paro we had to endure a horrifying ten hour road journey on the unmade (under reconstruction) road to Phuentscholing , with a 3000ft shear drop in many...
