Unfortunately the owners are not friendly at this place. We did not feel welcomed as it is the case in other guest houses. This is sad because the garden is very nice. Not a good place to stay to feel relaxed...

A beautiful lodge and a very nice place to stay. A tasty breakfast served in a nice setting completes your stay. Swimmingpool is excellent.And on new years eve they had arranged a nice table in a good restaurant and a campfire.We had a very nice stay in Marula Lodge.

After our experiences the previous day in George we were worried what we could further expect. However this place did not only meet our expectations it exceeded them. A very pleasant stay, a lovely garden and pool. The rooms very clean and pleasant, the host’s were excellent. There are no TV’s in the rooms we stayed in, but one in the communal area (not a problem for us). The rooms also had no aircon only ceiling fans, but they were still cool enough and it was around +/-... More

Comfortable, with lovely rooms and interesting art, delicious breakfasts, and a beautiful garden with small swimming pool. Nice friendly host and hostess (belgian/german) and excellent restaurant next door.

Very comfortable place to stay, with good breakfasts. Location is not fantastic and it didn't quite live up to the incredibly high standards we had elsewhere in South Africa. Great advice on where to go to for dinner, had a fantastic meal.

The owners are friendly, the breakfast perfect, the garden is lovely and the decor makes you feel at home.

Great place to stay. People very friendly and also very helpful with suggestion on things to do in the region. Breakfast very good. Swellendam is a very good place to stay. From there you can reach many places, like De Hoop NP, Cape Agulhas, the garden route and so on. We really suggest this place.
