My wife surprised me with a recent stay here. First off, it is on a very busy road so it was a little difficult to turn left across traffic into the driveway... no biggie. Once we got in, we never had to see the car again until we left. Check-in for the hotel is in the same waiting area for... More

I did not stay in the peacock Inn (did not even realized I could) but went there for a buisness dinner. Last time I had been there was in 1996 and I was happy to see that the quality of the food was still as good as it was back then. Since I was with a large group and reservations... More

This was the second time I dined here, and was again impressed by the presentation and taste of the food.  The scallop apetizer was delicious, and the lobster main course exquisite. The lobster was presented shelled (it is so nice to not have to work for one's lobster) and served with a crayfish sauce on celery rave... The lobster was... More

This is a lovely 5-star hotel with great amenities, and a fantastic improvement over the other in-town lodging option in downtown Princeton (the Nassau Inn). Great linens; nice toiletries; tasteful if somewhat corporate bling-y decor. Brilliantly located...but the traffic on Bayard Lane/206 can be noisy, so if you're a light sleeper plan ahead. More

We decided to break a long drive to a wedding in NY with a day/evening in Princeton. We had never been to the campus so we wanted to be in walking distance and this hotel definitely delivered. Once we parked our car, we didn't use it again during our Princeton visit, which was definitely nice. The rooms have a cozy,... More

The room was small but very well appointed. The bed was comfortable and the room had all the basic amenities except a chair or desk. My room was at the back of the property but the noise from the street and the noise from the restaurant bothered me at times. The location is great to enjoy the best of Princeton. More

I go to Princeton for work and like to stay in the town itself - and until I found the Peacock Inn I thought the (very tired) Nassau Inn was the only option. But this is much better! The rooms and bathrooms at the Peacock Inn are beautifully appointed (modern & cosy) and the bathrooms have Molton Brown toiletries (a... More

First thing, this hotel should probably not be classified with the B&Bs, rather it is a small, luxury boutique hotel. While it is a converted colonial mansion with lovely, helpful staff, the interior has been completely renovated in a clean contemporary decor and offers more privacy than the traditional chintz and lace environment of a b&b with innkeeper. There are... More

I stayed here for business and it was a nice place. PROS Location -- you can walk to lots of restaurants, bars, etc... Well Appointed -- the rooms are small, but very nice. CONS Small rooms Few rooms Breakfast was underwhelming Not really for business travel -- they don't have the "normal" luxuries of places that specialize in business travel. More
