I spent 4 nights at Hilliard House over the Thanksgiving weekend. The house is charming and hostess/owner Phyllis could not have been nicer or more efficient. No request was too great and was met with competence and cheerfulness. Fresh towels were always provided. Phyllis cooks breakfasts "to order"--try her homemade marmelade! The room was small but well-equipped and decorated. For... More

Quiet, gentle change of pace, attentive innkeeper, and Phyl is a great hostess--plus she makes the best baked apples! It's clean, comfortable, welcoming...and very reasonable. A quiet place to get work done--I arrived at my conference rested, well-fed and ready for the day. Thanks Phyl! More

I'm usually in agreement with most other trip-advisor reviews, and the Isaac Hilliard house is rated well overall. But my experience was not as nice as others conveyed, possibly because I stayed in the off season? Phyllis was kind, well-travelled, and caring, but the amenities were sub par for the price of $120/night. I stayed in November and probably won't... More

We thank you for your review of the Isaac Hilliard House. As for this being an old house, you are indeed correct. The house was built in 1749...consequently it is an 'Old House.' Our Rates are posted on the 'Terms and Conditions' section of our website. The rate you were charged was $110.00 plus NJ State Tax of 7% and... More

My significant other and I chose to stay at Ms. Phyllis Davis' B&B after seeing the recommendation on the Pine Barrens website. Ms. Davis made our stay exquisitely comfortable by starting our days with fresh healthy breakfasts and welcoming us home from canoeing or hiking with a warm quiet home. We stayed in the smallest room which was just right... More

Great hospitality, very comfortable, and I was close to Fort Dix for my work. This place was very quiet and I was able to get work done after teaching to National Guard Students. This place honored my military rate and was a lot better than hotels I have stayed in. I will be staying at Isaac Hilliard House again if... More

We spent three nights at this lovely B&B. Since we appreciate historic homes, we were especially interested in the architecture and the way hostess Phyllis decorated each and every room. Phyllis was very accommodating and served breakfasts that were delicious and creative. The room was very comfortable More

My husband and I were attending an ethnic festival in New Jersey, and we wanted to break up the trip by staying somewhere on the way. After reviewing the Isaac Hilliard House B&B website, we decided to book two nights, and add the adventure of kayaking in the Pine Barrens, as suggested on the website. We could "rough it" in... Perfect place to go to get away from it all and not be bothered by Jersey Shore traffic and travelers from New York. Definitely well maintained and clean. Pool was also very clean and a delight. Will definitely come back. More

I took my husband to the Isaac Hillard House for his birthday. We wanted to spend some time away from home without traveling too far. We drove 35 minutes to this location and we were not disappointed. The home was welcoming and we were greeted with a smile. The breakfast was made to order despite my very picky appetite. Phyl...
