Company was in NJ for business and needed block of rooms and this was the only that could accomodate us that was close to the jobsite. Reviews i got back were; dirty bathrooms, toilet not flushed, used dirty sheets, bad, bad, bad neighborhood, no coffee or donuts like owner promised, just plain nasty hotel. Worst of all the owner price... More

I should have checked Tripadvisor recommendations firs! Always go with your first instinct. This place is disgusting and should be knocked down!! All reviews noted below are correct. I am getting sick just typing about this place! There WAS a reason this was the ONLY hotel with available rooms within 25 miles to Seaside Heights. My children found a used... More

Who said America doesnt have much history...this hotel was an 'homage' to gang murders with our delightful room still displaying bloodstains on the bed bases. Guy Ritchie would have loved it! Our hearts go out to those who lost someone at this hotel from either the gang warfare that appears to occur in the carpark or through catching something they... More

I stayed here with some friends overnight for a two-day concert. The room was not fit for humans: there was hair all over the bathroom and bathtub, the toilet paper was not a fresh roll, and the soap was dry and cracked. The fire alarm was also missing and the hair dryer didn't work. Above all this, the worst aspect... More

I don't really know what to say here. My experience here was an absolute nightmare. The rooms were so dirty and so disgusting with human hair (not from the head) all over the door to the bathroom, and obvious gang related activity at night in the parking lot. The "24 hour" desk was closed and there was noone to reach... More

We got bumped from another hotel and they relocated us here. The room was small, everything was worn, big swaths of wallpaper peeling off the wall in the bathroom, missing tiles in bathroom, stains on box spring, missing smoke detector. I could go on. We wish we HAD gone to to sleep somewhere else. ANYWHERE else. Like our car!

This was the worst hotel stay my wife and I have ever had. This place makes a typical Econo Lodge look like the Waldorf Astoria. There were seedy people hanging around and the office was locked when we arrived at 11:30 PM and we had to ring a door bell and wait over 5 minutes until we were let in... More

Econolodge Lakewood was a comfortable place to stay at a very good price. Room was a nice size with a huge king size bed, also had separate sitting area. The bathroom was conveniently in 2 separate areas, one with a large vanity shelf/sink area. The installed hair dryer was not operable. I hope I'm remembering correctly that HBO TV and... More

This was the worst accommadations of my life. I did not get to the hotel until 11pm when I arrived there were shadey people hanging in the parking lot. It had been an exhausting day and i just wanted to sleep, I proceeded to put the card key in the door. When it opened I was taken back by the... More

The location of this hotel was great. It wasn't in a very touristy area, but it was pretty close to everything we wanted to do. Great front desk staff, no cribs for babies, and continental breakfast was nothing much. It was really just tea, coffee, plain bagels, and blueberry muffins. Period. Nothing else. No internet access, thin everything--blankets, pillows, towels.... More
