Located across the street from the beach and ocean. The view of the ocean can be seen only from the second floor. A cash only policy is rather odd. More

We've been here for a long weekend each summer for the last 3 years. All of the cape may hotels are overpriced and this is too. Remember they only take cash when you arrive! I am always in the lobby when someone forgets and has to drive to town to an atm before they can check-in. We like the location... More

The plusses: clean, quiet, so no frat boys on the make, family friendly. Right across the street from the beach. And there's a pool, if you like pools. (I don't, but this was clean and in the courtyard, so kind of private.) The minuses: that crazy cash-only policy. The "ocean view" (which was really what I'd call an "ocean peek")... More

We headed down the weekend of October 14 - 16th and the rates were no bargain - $153 (plus various taxes) per night. We were told we were getting an Ocean View suite. That was partially true. If you stood out on the balcony and faced due east, then yes, you could see the ocean. In fact, we had a... More

If you make reservation for a specific unit, they charge you an extra $20.00 per night. This does not make sense. Is a reservation a reservation or what? Cape May is beautiful and one of my favorite destinations, but Cape May does have a problem. They mostly have minimum stays in season so you can't just go for a weekend.... More

This was a mediocre hotel. We paid close to $300 a night in high season. Definitely not worth the money. The hotel has a nice pool for the kids and it's directly across from the beach in Cape May which is very nice and convenient with two young kids. It also has a shuffle board court which needs work and... More

Not new but recently renovated and very clean. All rooms seem to have a good view. Nice courtyard with a nice pool, lawn and sitting area. More

We returned to the Periwinkle Inn on August 20th and are already looking forward to our next stay. My husband, myself and our two college aged children find the Periwinkle and Cape May to be our little slice of paradise. The beach is literally right there and morning walks to see the dolphins is all that we ask. Sometimes the... More

This is a property that is a gem right across from the beach. It has very clean and updated rooms- and the cool part is that this hotel has the open, grassy Pool area with shuffleboard, etc. that reminds you of retro-Cape May! Also, next door is a new upscale Tiki bar so you enjoy relaxation at the Periwinkle and... More
