This is a lovely looking hotel with a bar and restaurant. It was just what I was looking for on a business trip to an area of NH with no Hiltons or Marriotts. My room was not too bad. Not really set up for a business traveler since it had no desk but it was a fine room with a... More

This place is beautiful. The setting for the ceremony outside was perfect. The food was excellent. The wedding was perfect and this establishment helped so much to make it a perfect day.. . The staff was wonderful, could not have asked for a more better place setting. Thank you so much. Parents of the bride. Randy and Dolly Dyer More

This Inn and grounds are just lovely. There was a wedding taking place outdoors during my stay, which I could see from my room. What a lovely sweet setting with all the lush trees and privacy, along with a lovely tented area for the outdoor reception. The rooms I have stayed in have always been exceptionally clean and the staff... More

I stayed at this cozy inn with my 80 year old Mom and 60-something Aunt. We also attended a delightful family wedding that took place on sight, both ceremony and reception. I do not know that I will have need to stay in the Rochester area again, but I would stay here in a heartbeat if I did. The front... More

Midway through a four night stay, we thought we'd get the word out. If you're thinking of booking here, be sure to ask what room you'll be in. Their descriptor says there's an on-site tavern and music.... they don't tell you that if you're in one of the front rooms, you will be listening to it at full volume until... More

We needed to stay one night in the Rochester area and picked this hotel after reading the positive reviews. I feel like we stayed at a totally different establishment than the other reviewers. We were given a room in the original part of the Inn, in the front of the building at the top of the grand staircase. The room... More

We spent two nights at the Governor's Inn and found it to be a charming old New England Inn. The staff was extremely courteous, friendly and helpful. Even though our room was directly over the ballroom where a wedding was in progress our room was very quiet. We have family in the area and plan to stay at the Governor's... More

We like this little hotel - friendly people at the desk and in the restaurant. We were there on Thursday, the right day to hear live musik of the "hopeless folks". In not more then 5 minutes we were familiar with all the people in the bar. Special thanks to Robin, Luke, Matt and Adam. It was an unforgetable evening.... More

We stayed for one night on our way to the Maine coast. We had dinner at the restaurant and it was good, not great, but no complaints. The staff was quite friendly and quite competent. The breakfast was nothing special. The rooms were comfortable, but really need to be updated a bit from a cosmetic and mechanical standpoint. However, for... More

Hey, we just spent the weekend at this really cool inn! The place had everything rigt there onsite. My friends and I were looking for a place to get together for a relaxing and fun get away and this was the perfect place. We enjoyed beers and good food at the pub and had a really great time!
