The staff was extremely helpful in all aspects. They explained everything. The room was comfortable and quiet. Only complaint was the mattress was a bit hard. Many may like it that way. Breakfast was adequate, and coffee and tea available 24/7. It was really great being able to walk to the many attractions and restaurants. No designated driver needed :)... More

We arrived in Portsmouth without any accommodation booked after a long drive, lateish on a Saturday afternoon. We went first to the Hilton Garden Inn, and they were completely full. Thank goodness for that, as our next stop was the Sise Inn and a much less plastic experience. They had two rooms left - twin beds or a double. We... More

Sise Inn was OK. There was nothing remarkable and a few less than lovely aspects. Mattress was a little lumpy and the blankets were thin. Bathroom was FREEZING and definitely in need of some TLC in terms of paint, spots on the tub and shower, and a bit of a slanty floor. Walls were pretty thin. TV was quite small... More

Booked the Sise Inn because our usual Inn of choice was booked and figured we'd try something new and prefer an inn setting to that of a traditional hotel. While the location is great, the accomodations were very disappointing. When we arrived at our room, while nice, it smelled musty and was overwhelming. When we alerted the front desk were... More

We were 2 couples coming to visit the city for a weekend overnight. The Sise Inn provided nice, comfortable rooms for our stay. The living room and breakfast room are beautiful and we enjoyed playing cards there in the evening. The light continental breakfast was a good start with yogurt and fruit in addition to breads and coffee/tea.

This B&B is truly extraordinary. What it promises online on its website, it delivers when you get there: Comfortable and clean rooms, great helpful staff, downtown location, super breakfast options as part of the fee, wifi, lovely rooms with real plants. It's staying in the bedroom of your dreams without all the clutter! It gives you exactly the kind of... More

My husband and I stopped in this quaint Inn at the last minute. Called for rates and were given a nice deal on one of their "suites". Our room consisted of a small sitting area which was directly in front of a double bed and a twin bed. The decor reminded me of my grandmother's home growing up, from linens... More

Don’t get me wrong – it’s pleasant enough – this lovely period property has a lot of charm. Certainly it is also in a great location - a pleasant, short walk to the delightful sights of Portsmouth. The problem is, to echo the other comments, The Inn is feeling a little tired – especially for accommodations at this price point... More

Great location, excellent decor. We arrived ahead of hurricane Sandy and needed to cancel or second day at short notice, the reception desk was very accommodating. The hotel is in the historic district close to restaurants etc.

We received a gift certificate to the Sise Inn last October from my brother in law and I was waiting and anticipating this visit for a while. My hubby and I finally had the time this weekend to come out to Portmouth and use the certificate of $200. The room we stayed in was 301 on the 3rd floor and... More
