Good place to stay if on a budget or want to stay away from the traffic of downtown. Rooms were fairly clean but were dark and old looking. Staff were not the friendliest but not rude either. I probably would not stay here again unless my other options were taken. more

we celebrate a family reunion here every November and have done this for many years. The staff is wonderful they can't be friendlier - or more hospitable. This hotel is lovely. We have been with and without our children and each time has been a great stay. It does not try or pretend to be a luxury resort.. We stayed here one night and I was favorably impressed with this old fashioned, quaint inn. As we checked in the yummy cookie smell indicated a good stay. Hated this hotel. Please do not waste your money and stay somewhere else! The staff were really unfriendly and did not even smile. The rooms were really old fashioned, dirty and reminded me of a garden with the green carpets, flowerly bed sheets and white picket fence head boards. We travelled to New Hampshire for the first time, found this gem of a place to stay. We loved it, clean rooms, fantastic pool, must have been 80 degrees. The breakfast was good, warm baked muffins.
