My husband and I stayed here in mid-June this year while attending a nearby wedding. This is a beautiful old inn done in traditional New England style - quilts on the beds, antiques as decorations, etc. The inn was spotless and we were greeted immediately by Monty (our hosts' dog) followed quickly by Tim. We were given a quick tour...

We stayed here twice. October 2008 and April 2009. First stay was in the Palmer Suite (fabulous) and then the Lighthouse room(quaint). Tim makes the place very inviting and is very accomodating. Bobbys breakfasts are out of this world. When visiting this area we would not stay anywhere else. If you are not fortunate to have Bobbys breakfast ......the country...

Earlier this spring, my family and I stayed at the inn just as a weekend getaway. Upon our arrival we were warmly welcomed and shown to our room. It was warm and cozy, with the type of decor I would expect from an old New England inn -- antiques, pretty lamps, soft sheets. We ate our breakfasts (wonderful!) and dinners...

My husband and I travel often enough and always prefer a B & B whenever possible. We had many choices for our visit North, but ended up staying at Crystal Lake. It was reasonably priced, and seemed quaint and homey right on the lake. Here's a few comments about our stay:

The welcome was warm but the inn was disappointing. The decor was tired and bore little relationship to the photographs on the website, It was not what what we were expecting for $180 a night. We cut our losses and did not stay.

We stayed for two nights and I must say, the food was fantastic, as well as the InnKeeper, and the staff at the restaurant and Pub. They were very accommodating and friendly. All of our meals were delicious and the atmosphere was terrific. Tim was very friendly. The common areas of the Inn are very homey.
We were disappointed in...

We came to stay for the weeked, attending a wedding nearby. The rooms were very comfortable, the common rooms were lovely and inviting, the food was great, and the hosts very gracious. One of the most enjoyable B&B's I have experienced!
We are already planning the next visit.

Like most other reviewers, our experience of the Inn at Crystal Lake was overwhelmingly positive. The breakfasts were delicious, as was the dinner we had one night. Our bedroom was very comfortable, well cared for but without sanitising the charm out of this traditional inn.
And there were so many added touches, such as a complimentary drink and cookies on...

I have to say that I really disagree with the August 22, 2005 review.
We thought that the Inn was very charming with a great staff. The common areas of the Inn are very inviting and comfortable. The food is fantastic, the village is quaint and romantic and you're only 5 miles from North Conway.
