Dined at 1785 Friday night, Alan was our waiter. Food and service was wonderful, thumbs up! Will return, for sure. Were not guests of the hotel, only the restaurant.

gave this old inn a second try. Stayed years and years ago and at that time was very dissapointed with tiny and musty room with shared hall bath and creaky floor. But decided to give it a try on a weekend when our favorite place was sold out and we were assured the largest room with private bath and the...

Hard to sleep with traffic noise. Shower slightly smaller than the one I had on a cruiseship. Service unremarkable. Fantastic view from the dining room, great food too.

Beautiful old inn in the heart of the White Mountains, not overly restored by any means and has all the charms of an old post and beam house. Rooms are smallish, no TV's or phones, but the place has it own bar and restaurant..and they are EXCELLENT! Breakfast came with the room, and that was great as well.

We live nearby and send our out of town guests there and they love it. It is a traditional inn nicely decorated rooms, delicious breakfasts, most rooms do not have tv's (although they did recently install wifi), does have an outdoor swimming pool and cross-country skiing. It is located at a scenic overlook so has amazing views.

This inn is a charming place to escape the city. We went during the holiday season and the decorations were out of this world. The locations was a perfectly located (~2 miles from the center of town) and is one of the few places in town with wonderful views of Mount Washington. The dinner/bar were convenient and the included breakfast...

Did stay here at this Inn, spacious room with private bath. Found the menu a bit pricey so decided to go out for dinner in Jackson NH. Rooms were clean and large. Breakfast was lovely and because we visited this during the week, it was only us staying the night but there was a few people eating dinner.

We enjoyed a large, comfortably furnished room at the 1785 Inn that shared one of the inn's best features: the amazing view out back towards the White Mountains. The food, both dinner and breakfast, were outstanding, and we enjoyed the fact that the inn had a much more international clientele than the average US lodging. All in all, I'd say...

We did not stay at this Inn, but had dinner here. The atmosphere was nice, but somewhat dark making it hard to read the menus. The food and wine were very tasty, but the service was slow. They make a Caesar Salad table side that is fabulous.
Very pricey, but food was worth it!!

The 1785 Inn is a comfortable space to spend the night - do not expect any frills or romance. It's quiet and clean but nothing special. The inn keepers are really friendly and nice and the breakfast room is cute, overlooking the mountains and the inn grounds.
The food is okay - heavy and once again, nothing exceptional. But if...
