The Lake Inn is a great place to stay especially if you are looking to ski or ride at Mount Sunapee. It is a 2 min drive to the base of the mountain. Super convenient! The rooms are clean and well kept. The property sits right above the lake it is a fantastic view. Free wi-fi absolutely free. Nice flat... More

We were very impressed by the owners' hospitality. They were very welcoming whenever we stopped by the office. Extra things such as VCRs with a selection of videos and a continental breakfast with coffee made it extra special. The room was clean and comfortable. They even helped us when we locked the keys in the car! The Inn is very... More

Thank you for your kind words. Hospitality is what this business is all about! Steve and I assist everyone who walks through our doors whether they are staying with us or staying elsewhere. There is a sign in our office "Enter as strangers, Leave as Friends" and nothing could be more true. We hope you come back again to visit.... More

The owners do such a fantastic job of being accommodating to guests. I recommend the Inn Highly. We stayed there with a special needs child and they went above and beyond to get us everything that we needed. Outstanding service. The Inn was clean, well managed, and in a great location.

Two colleagues and I decided to add a weekend trip to Mount Sunapee for 2 days of skiing onto a business trip to Boston. We booked 3 rooms at the Lake Inn at Mount Sunapee. Because of Boston traffic we arrived much later than hoped on Friday evening but Steve and Cindy the owners stayed up and made us very... More

A friend and I decided to go snowboarding at Mt. Sunapee and not long after on the ride back to Massachusetts my car broke down on 103! With help from another NH resident we made it to the Lake Inn, which is very close to the mountain, and we were so thankful they were able to accomadate us. Steve the... More

Our second visit to this charming property. Quaint, kinda of like going back in time motel. Very nice bed ensembles of pillow/sheet/comforter. Wonderful nights sleep. Bathroom somewhat basic but functional. Great view of Lake Sunapee just below. Owners very accomodating. Although we did not encounter Cindy on this visit, husband Steve was very helpful. Nice lift ticket package included for... More

We stayed for two nights in November with our dog. The room is clean with a small frig. and microwave and cable. The tv is good with a remote. This is not a fancy place but they don't charge fancy prices. The view of the lake and mountains are beautiful. The couple who own and run the motel care about... More

Thank you for your review. We do strive to provide a comfortable, lower cost lodging alternative. In order to maintain a decent rate, we must be mindful of heating costs and therefore we keep the temperature in the rooms as low as possible when not in use. Hope to see you again when you return to the Mount Sunapee area. More

Attending college reunion, we made this reservation based on the glowing reviews and this establishment's proximity to New London. What we found was an overpriced (total paid for one night including tax $129) outdated motel featuring small rooms with thin 1950’s type walls and vinyl shades, old fashioned bathroom with discolored tub. Checked in, opened the door to a very... More

The relatively new owners, Cindy and Steve, have made this little motel on the highway in Newbury, NH, between the ski slopes and beautiful Lake Sunapee, into a cozy and comfortable respite for travelers in this part of the state during any season. My sister and I had a room on the upper level with a screened-in porch perfect for... More
