There are hardly any hotels within 10 miles of lake winni - so if you want water you have to pick your poison. Stayed at Birch Knoll as a three night stopover on our tour of New England. We arrived in the evening after phoning in the morning to confirm availability to be greeted by the owner who 'was wondering where the brits where'. Stayed here because it was the only place we could find....but it turned out to be very pleasant. Spacious, clean rooms, view of the lake, with a dock, nice pool....shower massager....very clean and comfortable. Would stay here again More

Arriving at the motel, I went to fill the ice bucket only to find a piece of dried something at the bottom. No plastic liner for the bucket either. The "beach" was a strip of dirt about 10 feet long. The pool was nice, but for the money I would not return or recommend this place. More

After reading the review of this motel on tripadvisor we choose it for our second night at Winnipesaukee. We had stayed the previous night in Meredith. The room was clean and adequate but we found the traffic on the lake too busy to make the beach pleasant for swimming. My daughter did try out the pool and found it refreshing.... More
