The last time we stayed there we had some glitches in our plans and these people bent over backward to make it nice for us. I highly recommend this beautiful old hotel- the rooms are lovely and the restaurant excellent. We go there for special occasions- anniversaries and birthdays. We've tried to meet some of the ghosts but have failed;... More

The Gold Hill Hotel is actually in Gold Hill, Nevada which is just a few miles south of Virginia City. It is the OLDEST hotel in all of Nevada! The entire Staff is excellent - You will be spoiled and pampered by all. Please treat these people kindly and with respect as they work very hard and so deserve it.... More

A beautiful ride to Virginia City. Chock full of history from the old west. Abandoned mines and crumbling ruins are abundant. Included with your price for admission was a ghost visit during our stay in Room 1 in the old part of the hotel. Mysterious alarm clock going off at exactly midnight . Lights fickering and finally cabinet doors opening... More

Oldest hotel in Nevada and a perfect choice for our 2 days of history in Virginia City. Hotel was clean and well run. We stayed in room 4 in the old part of the hotel. It was perfect. The dinner was wonderful at the Tuesday nite buffet and the continental breakfast (included) was a nice surprise. Rumor has it that... More

Loved this place! Loved the grounds (even in the snow) and the entire building. We had room 14 or 17? - has an outside entrance with a private patio. Loved the blend of decor. It was very clean even down to no dust on the blinds. (We are motel owners, so we pay attention to every detail).. Restaurant was excellent... More

This place was absolutely amazing. Melody was the most helpful and made our wedding a perfect day. The food was fabulous, the service was outstanding and we are heading back there again in a couple of weeks. If you like vintage charm and awesome service..do not pass this place up !! More

One of the best Hotel I have ever been to. The food was superlative. The service was amazing. The room had the most comfortable bed and an incredible view and a wood burning fireplace. Close to Virginia City (just up the hill) where you can play. Haunted...most assuredly....too many unexplainable noises and activity. There is a quirky little bar that... More

It’s a very old hotel, l but all in all its kept up ok, but it’s the lack of service that is the really big problem. The older rooms up front are fine but no TV and baths are very small. As far as the management goes there is very little help if things are not going right so you’re... More
