I love the Grand Sierra. The hotel staff is super friendly and always try to help with anything they can to make you have a better stay. We have an I prefer card there bc we stay so much and we are constantly getting free upgrades and they even gave us a free night the last time we were there!... more

There seem to be a lot of picky people out there where this hotel is concerned. We had a great trip to Reno, and were very glad we picked this hotel. While in the area, we drove around to see quite a few of the other hotel/casinos, and by far this was the nicest, cleanest, classiest that we saw. Yes,... more

The Grand Sierra Resort and Casino is a good option in Reno. The Summit Rooms are newly decorated in a deep chocolate brown with light accent colors. It suits my taste perfectly, however, the majority of my group (average age 50+) did not like it. They thought it was TOO DARK and depressing. The other rooms (not the Summits) are... more

I stayed at the Grand Sierra Resort for one night while on a business trip. Although I did not spend much time in my room, it was a very nice room. The rooms was spacious, had a flat screen tv, comfortable bed, and very nice bathroom. The lobby level seemed pretty nice as well. The only flaw I found was... more

We were there for 6 nights for a conference. The room was nice, we were on the 1st floor and had a view of the pool and Mt. Rose. Highly recommend they replace the carpet and lighten up the hallways. No music that weekend so it was nice. Highly reccomend the guided tour the hotel offers. We did the half... more

The rooms were clean but dated - bathrooms need updating. The hotel staff were all very friendly. For the price, you can't beat it. It is remote from other casinos. Take your own hair products - hotel supplied amenities are incredibly small and not high quality. more

We usually stay at the summit part of the Grand Sierra, but this time we opted for the regular hotel rooms, in an effort to save a little money. The room ended up being upgraded to their mini suite and it was a very nice and spacious room, with lots of room and a conversation area with couch and chairs,... more

If you have to stay here, upgrade to the Summit. The standard rooms are HIDEOUS! The carpet is old and stained, furniture cheesy, water pressure and temp in the shower is inconsistent, cable tv reception poor on many channels, smoking rooms close enough to non-smoking rooms that they shouldn't even bother making a distinction - the list goes on and... more

We stayed at the Grand Sierra while visiting family in Reno. We were there during Street Vibrations, but not actually there to particiipate in the event. Only issues would be with the noise of the motorcycles, and that is not something the hotel can control. We were treated well by the front desk staff, the housekeeping staff, the casino staff... more

We stayed at this hotel on our way back from Burning Man and it was a wonderful find. Our room was luxuriously comfortable and the shower was large enough for more than one person at a time. The toiletries provided were superb too. We had a great time at the "sample yourself" wine bar - you purchase a card with... more
