We booked a cheap room at the "Resort @ Mt.Charleston" which would have been fine. But when we got there, we drove up to the top of the mountain and into the real forested area where all the hiking is and found this beautiful gem, the Mount Charleston Lodge and Cabins. After sitting out on the patio and soaking in... more

This is the single worst hotel I have stayed at in my life. To give you an idea of how much I stay in hotels, I go on business trips 2-3 months out of the year and by far this was the worst place to stay, ever. First off, for $220 USD I will stay down on the Strip next... more

My friend & I had gone to the lodge restaurant after leisure hike. We were happy to be there for a new exciting experience & even looked forward to a stay at the cabins at a later date. We are local Las Vegas residents and everything about the day was fun and relaxing. Especially for busy hospitality industry employees such... more

Made reservations for 13 requesting patio table for a Sunday breakfast. Arrived 15 minutes early to find table ready and waiting. Waitress took order for all 13, without a hitch, all the food was perfect and as ordered. Because of the large party, a suggested 18% tip was computed on the tab but not added to the final charge when... more

Reading the reviews, I kind of laugh to myself. If you want to stay in a 5 star hotel, stay in VEGAS!!!! If you want to escape the hussle and bussle of the Vegas life and escape to a beautiful, romantic, and comfy little cabin, stay at the Lodge. Take it for what it is people! Its absolutely amazing in... more

My wife and I spent the weekend at the Mt. Charleston Lodge. We stayed in #15 which had an amazing view. If you are going ask for #15 or #16 as the views are not blocked at all. The cabin was cute and cozy however be prepared as there is no TV reception but they do have a DVD player... more

My wife and I stayed in Cabin #4 at the Lodge for one night. We arrived after a heavy snowfall (up to 18 inches) the day before (Christmas Day) that had resulted in a white-out and shut down the Lodge's restaurant at 4 p.m.--it was closed so the staff could get back down the mountain road, our waiter told us.... more

The wife and I booked a one night stay as a "get away" of sorts. We're Vegas residents, so it was only a 30 minute drive to the Mt. Charleston Lodge. We arrived shortly after the stated 3 PM check in time. We signed the check in paperwork, and were given our room key (we stayed in cabin 17). First,... more

My husband and I stayed here in March for a romantic getaway. The scenery is absolutely breathtaking. The cabins our situated in rows kind of shaping a triangle. There is only one cabin "the lovebird" cabin (#16) that sits by itself the furthest out on the mountain. This is the cabin that we were in. The private balcony is worth... more

We're very familiar with the Vegas area and decided this summer to escape the heat for a few days. We rented a cabin (#11) at the Mt. Charleston Lodge, an hour west of the strip, and at 7600 feet, it was delightful, with highs in the low 80's, lows in the mid-50's, excellent hiking in every direction. We did enjoy... more
