We stayed at the Tropicana for a few nights in July because we were offered a free stay. The location was great, right on the strip near Luxor, Excaliber, New York New York and MGM. You can tell that in its prime it would have been a great place. The standard rooms were very roomy but ours had a terrible... more

My husband and I have made two trips to Vegas in the last year, and we always stay at the Tropicana. For a cheap price, you can stay right on the strip. The rooms we have stayed in were the Tower and the Island Tower Jacuzzi Suite. The tower room had mirrors on the walls, which was awesome. The jacuzzi... more

30 of us stayed at the Tropicana for our 25 yr class reunion. We had a great time. We had a pool party and used the cabanas, which were very nice. We also had a dinner dance. The meal was excellent, of much better quality than I expected (I had salmon in lemon butter sauce), and the DJ was great... more

I went on a scooter rally, so all I wanted was a decent bar service, somewhere to get my head down and a good location. Bar prices were outrageous and the service temperamental. I asked for a non smoking room and didn't get it and they couldn't change it. The whole decor was tired and not what I's expect for... more

I've stayed at other Hampton Inns on business and this one was the more run down I've seen. The room itself was fine and typical of any other Hampton Inn, more than decent, but the hall and elevator did look a little worse for the wear. I was by the elevator and this hotel gets a lot of traffic, so... more

I should have listened to other reviews. The room wasn't that bad but it took us an hour to get to it and to find the check-in. We drove around the block three times before we finally asked someone and they said we had to park in the self-parking and then check in. So, dragging all of our luggage, we... more

One word to describe this place...gross. It is just plain old and icky and needs to be remodeled. We also had several problems with our room key. We replaced our key 3 times before they gave us another room. And thank goodness they did because the standard room is not worth the money and the so called upgraded room wasn't... more

Having never been to Las Vegas before, I wasn't sure of the locations of any of the hotels so I thought I'd chose one of the least expensive ones on the strip. I arrived at the hotel and after a 6 hour plane ride the last thing I wanted to do was wait in a check-in line. Well I waited... more
