The Flamingo is a great location for walking anywhere on the strip and catching the bus to downtown . Never saw anyone winning at the Harrah casino's. Upon arriving they put us in a filthy, old, moldy room. After haggling, as we were with Westjet holidays and was to be a king size, non smoking delux room (which we paid for) we had to settle for an additional $25.00/night for a Go Room. The room was way too expensive for what it was. The carpet was nasty, the shower curtain was filthy, I cringed every shower. The ac did not work, the hair dryer filled the whole room with thick smoke. I was surprised the smoke alarm didn't go off, assume it wasn't working either.Some of the outlets didn't work either. Stayed 5 nights at the Flamingo, and would definitely stay again. The location is very accessible to everything on the strip...we could walk everywhere and not have to rely on buses or the monorail. We arrived on Wednesday afternoon. It took maybe 5 minutes to check in. We upgraded to a Go room. We were in Vegas to get married and were staying for 5 days. Staff was professional and very helpful. Resturants in the Flamingo were top notch. The location is perfect for walking on the strip. You can't get a better location.... more
The view of the strip was fantastic especially at night. Was on 17th floor and it was peaceful. Having the coffee pot in your room saved you time and money. A small cup of coffee is $2.98 plus tax.
