We stayed here in December and I liked it a lot. I loved how beautiful but affordable it is. The room I stayed in was stunning (small but very beautiful.) Because the Golden Nugget is in "Old Town" I was expecting a fairly dated room and hotel. What a surprise when I walked in! Excellent accomadations, up- scale restaurants are good but the slots on the floor are very tight! We like staying downtown to get away from the rat race of the strip. The Golden Nugget also has great Slot Tournements which occur about 8 times a year. The prize money is tops and the tournements often include free rooms breakfasts,drinks, extra buy-ins... More
