This is as budget hotel as it comes in las veags. Simple amenities, bed, area to hang your clothes, drawers to put other clothes in, simple bathroom. They only supplied us with soap and towels. Windows cannot open so had to use the air conditioner to keep the room cool a/c was noisy. hollow tile building, 24 hour security guard... more

My experience at the ogden house wasn't bad at all. I didn't feel endangered at all. Honestly, it is just a place to rest your head. I am fairly young and I was on a budget, so it worked for me. If you are looking to be pampered, visit the Bellagio. This place is clean, simple, and cheap. more

This was a great hotel . It was quiet and the location is even kind of quiet with not too many cars and their noise. It is across the street from the El Cortez which is also owned by Jackie Gaughan; the chinese buffet is pretty good. The bus stopped not too far from the hotel even after midnight when... more

My husband and I were married on new years, so it costs so much to do anything for our anniversary, let alone stay in Vegas. The Odgen house was there, since the El Cortez was sold out, and a very reasonable price. I guess someone could say that the area is shady, but what downtown area is not? We lived... more

The good: - inexpensive ($30 for Thursday nite, $50 for Friday nite) - Clean rooms - Close to Fremont Street experience and casinos - Nice view from 5th floor of the northern part of Vegas The bad: - Burn marks in the old carpet as well as the vinyl flooring in the bathroom - Noisy at night. I stayed on... more

I love the Ogden Motel! I try to stay there every time I go to Vegas. It's clean, well cared for and very inexpensive. I also like being close to the strip while staying someplace other than a casino. This place gets my vote. more

It isn't the Golden Nugget but we didn't pay that price either. Room was clean, bathroom had plenty of hot water and the bed was comfortable. The walk to the Fremont Experience wasn't but 2 blocks away and we never once were uncomfortable with the walk. And we were back and forth at many different times, day and night. If... more

Charges $25 a night, $39 weekends. Behind the and owned by the El Cortez on Freemont. Free parking in a multi-level garage (choice of 2) and I had satellite TV and a bathtub to soak my weary body from all that Vegas walking. Extremely comfortable bed and pillows, excellent maid service, ice on first floor, clean bedspread (I'm paranoid) so... more

Stayed there 6 nights in October 2004 at $25 per night. Book ahead, and then you will get a room. Fills up on weekends. Call El Cortez, and ask for the Ogden House, which is behind the El Cortez. Crummy lobby, noisy elevator, but clean rooms. Kind of far from the Strip. I bought a day pass, and be sure... more

Stayed at the Ogden House when I was unable to book elsewhere for Fri/Sat nights in downtown. The price was more than right at a $20 daily rate for the weekend, for which I received a small, basic room. The hotel itself is a bit worn out, but everything in the room worked just fine. The hallway elevator is a... more
