This is our third visit to Vegas and my husband and I decided to go for two weeks over Christmas and New Year. Due to the length of holiday we were on a budget, whereas we've been for a shorter period and stayed at the Wynn and the Luxor before. The Imperial Palace was more than ideal for location and... As a special birthday surpirise for my wife,we went to Las Vegas for the new year.We wanted a hotel in the middle of the "strip" as we didn't want miles and miles of walking.I searched the internet and found the Imperial. The good thing was the location and the price. The location was in the middle of the strip opposite Caesar's Palace... Staying at the Imperial Palace is definitely a unique experience in modern Las Vegas! Basically, it's the opposite of the planned mega-resorts. Instead, seems like an on-going DIY project, hotel-style. Both the front and back entrances are confusing. In the front, you have to walk off the Strip and down a little alley to get to the entrance (which is... More

I am shocked this hotel is affiliated with the Caesar's name. I encountered problems too numerous to list... - Balcony window did not lock, at all, and was easily accessible from neighboring rooms. - NO security latch on room door. - Old, out-dated furnishings. - A cup was found beside my bed full of old cigarette butts (I do not... Can't remember how many times I have stayed here. The prices can't be beat--we paid between $30-39/night. The rooms are clean but need renovating badly. We first had room 521 which had a funky layout because it was behind the elevators--a long hallway from the door into the actual bedroom and extra space in the bathroom but the shower was... More

If I didn't pay more than $22.99 I would have been very disappointed. That being said, I had called the hotel line and asked for a hotel with a hot tub that was open. I was told this had a hot tub that was open and free for hotel guests. When we get to our room and unload the first... More

Before going to the old Imperial Palace, I had read a few terrible reviews, and at $20/night, my expectations were low. I was pleasantly surprised to find that the rooms were more spacious than your typical hotel room and the location was excellent. It wasn't as run down as I was led to believe. Most importantly, the room was clean... More

My husband and I just returned from a 3 night stay. Let me start out by saying if you want an upscale fancy room with all the bells and whistles, this place is not for you. However, if you want a nice room with a comfortable bed sans a fridge, microwave and coffee set up, then this is the best... More

Good thiings about this hotel - Fat Tuesdays, Hash Bar,employee's are all very nice, they take dogs, and they are cheap. The carpet has burns, and thirty years plus of stains of god only knows what. The beds are hard as rocks, the noise is so loud all night, you will not get any sleep. Shower head is the lightest... More
