Goldstrike Casino and Resort is a great hidden gem, I stayed over the Memorial Weekend, there was no problem getting a room and Karen & Monette were two ladies at the front desk that were extremely helpful even when I checked in at nearly midnight. Dated, dirty and a bad smell coming from the sink. Noisy, gum wrappers on the floor and someone elses hair in the shower. That being said....it is a $30 room. Stayed there on a Thursday night, paid $35, so can't complain. It's not the Ritz or Four Seasons, the rooms were clean but handles are broken off the furniture, the old wall-mounted AC/heat creaks and groans, the carpet is frayed with fiber showing in numerous place, the 80's era TV has seven channels, the $5 alarm clock sort of works.... more
