Used to be a nice stop for 15.00 a night. Now up to $ 40-60 and awful. They closed the decent coffee shop and just have that 4th rate buffet - gagworthy. 99 percent of the "guests" are truckers and big rigs stopping for gas and a shower. This place is not fun. Avoid. More

Need a cheap room? The Gold Strike delivers! $40 or so gets you a room and it's about what you would expect for that. Nice size, good hot water and pressure. A bit dingy and dated. We suspect the last update was '97, considering the dates on the room's art work. Clean sheets and bedding, a very firm, not too... More

Stayed at this hotel as part of road trip in NV and AZ in Oct 2011. It's on the I-15, 20 minutes from Las Vegas Strip. It's an older style property, which is reflected in the price. Also old furnishing. It's good for a change away from the strip - to see what life used to be like 'back in... More

Casino Review--- Gold Strike is one of those places that is frequently passed, but is worth a second look. Stop by here for what is left of the old west in southern Nevada. Low limits, cool dealers, and slots that pay cash are hard to find elsewhere. Always $3 craps, always $3 blackjack, always FUN. If you're the MGM or... More

Nice oasis close to but not in las vegas. room rates are cheap usually. Food is pretty good, priced well, and there are early morning specials for 1.99 Front desk is a little lost and have that cheap hotel attitude. I would return if needed but its not a destination property for me More

First, let me tell you that this review covers the hotel and the restaurants (in the lobby) only. I do not have any interest in gambling, and so I cannot talk about the casino, except to observe that the casino is ubiquitous and ever-present, because it takes up pretty much the entirety of the large lobby, aside from the hotel... stopped at the gold strike on my way from vegas to LA. the reason was the cheap price of the buffet which i recommend. The atmosphere is very different to any casino i have seen in vegas. In the beginning i though this place is rather strange but i started to like it very much. cheap prices, higher chances to... More

We stopped on our way from Las Vegas to California at the Gold Strike Hotel for dinner at about 6 PM on a Thursday evening. I had been by this very ornate "oasis" on I-15 a number of times but never stopped. Not realizing there was still one more big casino/resort complex only one exit down, we decided to stop... More

First, let me tell yuo that I am not a gambler, and not for any kind of moral or religious reasons, but simply because gambling bores me to death. So, during my 9-day stay at this hotel, I did not gamble even once at this hotel nor at any other casinos in Nevada. I learned in early September that I... More
