This hotel was built in 1929. It is not at the same standards as today, but it is a very nice hotel in an very remote area. The room was very small and crowded, but adequate. The hotel had free WiFi that worked well. There was a big screen TV in our room that had lots of channels. The hotel... More

We stayed in the 1929 Hotel Nevada on our way to Las Vegas and are so glad we chose it. The room has been updated, but decorated in the era of the 20's. The bed was comfortable, the airconditioner worked well and the room very clean. The lobby, casino and cafe are decorated in antique western momorabilia. We had a very... More

We took the beautiful back roads of Nevada when travelling from Reno to Colorado, and ended up at the highly advertised Hotel Nevada in Ely. It may have been a nice place for prospetors to come in and get a bath sometime in the 1930s, but it's absolutely not up to today's basic hotel standards. Our room was tiny, the... More

Certain observations by this traveler were not only accurate but also welcomed. Conversely, some comments are simply not true. I’ll explain; the Hotel Nevada is widely advertised as the Historic Hotel Nevada. Yes, the rooms are small by today’s standards. We are delighted to know that she felt the ambiance of the 1930’s, noting the original terracotta tiles in the... More

We entered this historic hotel through a cramped and smoky casino. The rooms were small and crammed with too many pieces of inappropriately large furniture. The headboard was not attached to the wall and made noise whenever we moved. Our neighbors played their tv late and loud, then got up early...5:00 A.M...to loud repeated knocks on their door and proceeded... More

This is an experience, not a room for the night! The place is incredibly decorated and the price is surprisingly low. Consider the room charge as an "admission fee". Dinner was excellent, bar area and casino entertaining, and room, comfortable, clean and well "themed" to offer a memorable visit to days of yesteryear. Why stay anywhere else?

We came into Ely after a great trip from Elko, boy were we in for a surprise! Got the Kennecott Suite, at the Hotel Nevada. The Hotel was so historic and felt so darn comfortable. Staff were nice and we felt right at home. Now the Kennecott Suite, two ample bedrooms, two full baths, a gorgeous living room, all fully... More

We were out wandering around and stumbled into Ely. It just happened to be the weekend of the Silver State Classic and we were tired of being rained on. We saw the town and this hotel in particular and decided to stay the night. Well after enjoying the first nights stay and activities we decided to to stay a second... More

After reading many reviews, I decided my daughter and I would stay here for our two night stay in Ely, NV. We were on a room on the 5th floor and it was small. The rooms are old looking, but they were very clean. The carpet was soft and the bed was comfy. Our air conditioner worked perfectly. The bathroom... More

Its in the heart of Ely, so the location is great. The slot machines are not bad. The rooms are SMALL, remember this is an old hotel. The AC in my room was so dirty and I heard some critters playing in it. Gross. CLEAN IT!!!! Because I had some drinks in me, I slept well, but otherwise, it needed... More
