We stayed here in August and took other reviewers recommendation to stay in the Great Lodge building. We had a nice, spacious room. The furnishings were nice, bed comfortable and view very nice. Unfortunately, we had several problems with the property. First, their claim of internet service in the main lodge building wasn't true for the entire weekend. I repeatedly... More

Great hotel in a great location but a little pricey and with average service. More

We stayed here for one night. The room was old but it was OK. I wouldn't stay here again, as it wasn't worth the money. Check elsewhere. More

I've stayed there 3 times. Given it's location, it's the closest thing you're going to find comparable to a hotel within 50-60 miles. The place ain't cheap but you got to remember where you are which is more or less the middle of nowhere surrounded by wildness and beauty. The service was pretty good though on one occasion the water... More

My husband and I stayed here for 3 nights in September 2011. We were in the Great Bear Lodge on the 2nd floor with a king bed, fireplace, and Jacuzzi. We have no complaints. The room was very clean and with a great view. Toiletries were replaced daily and the room was cleaned well each day. You could hear the... More

We really looked forward to spending 3 nights at this lodge in our lake view/fireplace room. We were given a first floor room with a view of the river through the weeds outside the deck and the fireplace was not working. A maintenance man came and fixed it, but it soon conked out again. The room was spacious but not... More

We wanted to stay close to the east end of Glacier National Park, and this was the only place in St. Mary that allows pets. The main lodge looks nice, but pets are only allowed in the motel units that are right on the main highway. The TV was not working, and their laundry facilities, which we were counting on,... More

This resort gets mixed reviews for a reason. It is in an excellent location for exploring the park in the US and Canada. It's high end rooms, where we stayed on the third floor, are excellent with a river view and a fireplace. They are well-decorated, clean and roomy. Yes, it's expensive, but there are no other options in the... More

We stayed here for two days during a three day park visit in September. Our room was in the main building and was large, clean and excellent with a view of the river behind and sunset over the park. The location suited us nicely because we crossed the park in the morning and returned in the afternoon keeping the sun... More

This is a review of the restaurant at St. Mary Lodge. We did not stay there, but stopped for lunch on the way out of Glacier National Park. In brief, it was a bad dining experience, the worst we have had in quite a while. The service was slow to start, the food was overpriced, the portions small, my "medium... More
