We just spent the night at Chico for about the 100th time, and it was lovely. It's always a bit different. This time there was a wedding, so the lobby was always full and dinner wasn't quite up to its usual excellence, but we still love it. It just has so much personality and charm. You really notice when you... more

Wonderful natural hot springs pool, historic hotel, good restaurant. Cabins and accomodations available in a wide budget range. Pets welcome in some rooms for 20. extra. Location is rural Montana mountains, the starry nights and clean air are wonderful. This is a popular get-away from Bozeman (less than an hour) or Billings (hour and a half). For under 80. you... more

I passed the turn off for this spot, on my way to the North Entrance of Yellowstone. I noticed the "Natural Hot Springs" sign and thought...but that Gardiner would have such things, also. Gardiner was pleasant enough, but I just didn't anywhere advertising natural hot springs. Gardiner just didn't seem to be where I wanted to stay the night before... more

Chico Hot Springs was recommended to me by a friend and his girlfriend who stayed there last year. I was a little concerned that it was too far away from Yellowstone (about 30 minutes north) but the hotel was totally worth it. It's in the middle of nowhere and has several building surrounded by green lawns (in the middle of... more

This place is a joke! First off the staff was nice. That is where the positives end! We booked cabin 600 months ago and were excited based on the positive reviews. We got there and the couch was torn up, the cabin was dusty, the floors were shot, the walls were paper thin to the point where when my son... more

We had our wedding at Chico last August, and it was pretty much perfect. Due to the excellence of service from staff, gorgeous location, and great rooms & food, we decided to return for our first anniversary. We were not disappointed. Our room (one of the cabins) was impeccably clean; staff (both at the front desk and at meals) were... more

I grew up in Livingston so I knew what to expect from Chico. The last time I stayed there was in 1973 when there was only the one building. It had a brass bed and a Victrola in the room. Very clean and easy to get around this 100 year old place. Stayed in the Warren Oates wing (includes and... more

My wife and I spent 1 night at the Chico Hot Springs Resort while traveling around Yellowstone. This hotel was a find. We stayed in a chalet on top of the mountain overlooking the resort and for the price, this was one of the nicest rooms I have ever stayed in. The king bed, with views of the surrounding mountains... more

We recently had the good fortune to stay at Chico Hot Springs Resort with a last minute reservation, after planning our vacation with little notice. What a lovely destination...our room (with 2 double beds) shared a bath down the hall (which was always vacant), and overlooked a beautiful grassy yard. The on-site restaurant was delicious, with a varied and exotic... more
